The secret Cow Level was opened in the Barrens with the Diablo Immortal PC launch, and by completing it in Heroic, you can get a free Golden Tyrael portrait!

After you beat the Secret Cow level you have to go to the achievements and click the achievement twice to get your portrait!

I ended up using Khadgar, Nemsi, Bru'kan and Baine. Started extrremely defensive, just gain nature damage every turn, didn't bother with upgrading khadgar, just used him to cheese HP to survive all AoE. Once the green adds spawn you can oneshot them with Bruk (careful not to hi the Boss!), on turns with no adds just farm more Nature damage. Took forever, but at some point you become unkillable, and, if you have the patience for it, can oneshot the Cow. Only took ~15 minutes of stacking nature :D

I think I did this yesterday with the nature (Malf/guff/Bruk), but it was dangerous with serpent sting randomly hitting the boss- which meant his nature was ramping too (lighting bolt giving +nature damage)

If you have someone like Cariel and get the boon that makes her deal damage to enemies upon taking damage, when she's the last one left it goes infinite and kills the boss :)

not sure how it used to be, but ties don't count as a win. if you defeat the boss and all your mercs die in the same turn, you lose.

Thanks for the video, wouldn't have gotten the nice loot that quick without you :) Elise with Monkey's Paw should be just outright hilarious for the "we don't want a bunch of lightning bolts", while needing no special treasure (or any at all) with Bog Moss acting as bodyguard.

Working on this now and it's harder to get the best Fire treasure (+fire damage and +health to elementals and humans) now with the extra junk treasures Blizzard has added.

Velen, Chi-Ji and Anduin made this a breeze as well. All the extra healing from Chi-Ji's healing power made them pretty much invincible.

Same. It wasn't quite as easy as his video showed, but it did get the job done. And still a better sight than some of the posted vids with "new player friendly" comps that required heroic gear or maxed out toons.

Don't have Malfurion. Can this work if I use Lady Anacondra, Guff, and Brukan at the boss and use Cariel, Samuro, and Xyrella for the climb?

Possibly. I would try Cookie instead of Anacondra because the boss is red, so Cookie fits well. I will test budget comps later, need to make the full-cost guides for all the new bounties first.

How many times did you have to run the Nature team to get this win? I get floods of spores with bleed (10) on the final boss and get blown away. Almost like you are playing a different game ? ?

Once. I have not lost any boss fights in the latest batch of bounties yet, but I have done them all multiple times.

I have not started to work on budget comps for the latest bounties yet. If you're just starting out, you can safely skip the Cow level for now and move on to Felwood, the Cow level is in the Barrens more for the theme than for progression order.

Could you upload in future videos part of the climbing as you did in your old videos? I've been back at heathstone shortly after a 2-year stop, and I'll be playing mercenaries for 1 month since now (a format I love by the way). I find your videos very useful, thank you for creating all this content. A single detail to improve your videos would be that apart from showing the equipment that each champion carries, you also show the rewards you have obtained or what rewards you are looking for during the climb. Thanks a lot

OG is trying to do the fights without using special treasures (rewards) to make sure the combo is always working and it was not just luck because of the buffs. But he did a general video about the treasures and how to select. Video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pc1hlLxqvrfchYk.html

Why do you call the extra minions "adds" like at 0:22

MMO terminology. There is a boss and there are adds. This is also adopted by Mercs to an extent, such as in the tasks to deal damage to Heroic bosses, which does not count damage to adds.

Tyrael does not seem to have a "type". Surely he should be a Human right?

Tyrael is a mortal angel in the current Diablo world. He used to be an immortal angel. Nonetheless, he does not have any human blood despite his newfound mortality.

i was today years old when i learned that later quests give booster packages! i clicked away so many.. is there a reliable way to get them back?

There is no way to permanently abandon Mercenary tasks. The Mercs will come back to the campfire either from the random dailies or you can find Mysterious Strangers from Mystery nodes on bounties that are close to the level of the highest-level Merc in your party.

The problem with this guide is you can't progress to the other equipment in say Alterac Valley until you kill the cow on heroic...so this setup is useless

Why would you need to kill the Cow on heroic? Heroic kills are not needed for progression.
