4:50 I've been recently farming Alterac Valley on purpose instead of brainlessly doing H1.1 Out of 5 slots, 3 (the three from the top counter-clockwise) are dedicated to bounty reward, one (upper right) to a merc in your team, and one (bottom right) is random. If you complete the heroic bounty, one of the 3 bounty rewards is guaranteed to be for the legendary merc of the bunch. I think farming Alterac Valley is not bad at all, if you can (A) run a bounty for which you need at least two of the three offered coins (B) use a party using only mercs for which you need coins (C) have no chance to fail the bounty. If you don't need the legendary merc coins, it is also strictly better to do normal. I've been getting on average 60 useful coins per bounty, which is doable in 15 min (most of the times you need 6 fights + boss, and it is not uncommon to need only 5 + boss; of course reroll as needed). This is comparable to H1.1 time-wise, and much more fun imho. As a bonus, you get a chance for mysterious stranger, meaning you also get some task progress as well. I used this method to max Balinda (doing her heroic task) getting a bunch of useful Niuzao coins as well, and lately I've been doing normal Lokholar and Ivus for Lok, Vanessa (lmao), Xuen and Sinestra coins. Today I've switched to normal Vanndar for Long'Xin, Galv and Lok coins, since I need all three. The team I'm using is Long'Xin, Sinestra, Yu'Lon (which can win every non-boss fight easily), Chi-Ji, Galvangar and Rogers. Against Balinda I used Chi-Ji to basically solo the boss; against Lokholar just hit him with the three blues, same for Vanndar; against Ivus do whatever, blues or dragons both work.

Love the content! Also wanted to share a quick tip: if you just click "Ready" instead of fielding your Mercs, it will automatically populate the first three in order. Since you're trying to grind these bounties as quickly as possible, this may save you a few seconds here and there, especially if you're working with multiple Mercs at once instead of the solo like you demonstrate here.

Fun thing is originally the dialog for each bounty read "Earn some coins _for the Mercenaries in your party_ plus a random one of the following:" (I cited this back on Nov 28, 2021 in the "Mercenaries - What’s Next" thread on the boards) But they changed it to the current "Earn some coins for the following mercenaries plus a random one from your party and collection" when it became clear the award weren't matching up with the text. So instead of changing the behaviror they took the easy route and changed the text.

if you bring the mercenary youre farming coins for to the bounty where their coins drop, you get more than the sum of those 2 rolls. So, chance at 1 stack of coins for having the merc with you OR doing their bounty, but combined, you always get 2 > chance of 3rd stack. i dunno why. i was usually getting 3 stacks of gruul per anonited blades run tho, rarely 2. went so fast!

My answer would be: This is the fastest way to solve the tasks "complete 4/6 (heroic) Bounties" which is usually task 7, task 13 and task 15. To complete the task 18 "Deal 450 damage to Heroic bosses." I am using often heroic 1-2, 1-3.

isn't 1-2H better since you can get a blue portal and skip one fight? and also the classic Banehollow can be done with 4 fights on normal w/ boss and 5 on H and there you have a change to get a MS + a 50/50 to your party from the boss if in your party you have 3 that need coins

They recently added a guarantee for the left most reward to drop at least once, so if you need epic or legendary coins you can find the bounty where they drop and do that HC for guaranteed coins for that Merc, and if you have the Merc along as a filler then you can proc more.

I heard from someone that if u do the normal 1-1 instead of heroic, you get 15 coins instead of 10. is that true? You have to fight one more fight but 5 more coins for 1 fight is worth it imo.

Once finished with all tasks the daily task disappears.

I think it is better to call H 1-1 farming the baseline farming method. It gives you 3,3 coins/min. It is possible to achieve higher efficiency in other bounties. If a bounty rewards 2 or 3 useful coins and you are fast enough (i use fire comp) you can get useful coins at a higher rate. But if a bounty offers only 1 useful coin then it is probably not faster than H 1-1.

I mean the first thing should always be "complete all tasks first". It's better to complete tasks than 10 coins with 1 Merc over and over. Sure it's east for lok or geddon but other mercs take longer like Grom, 3 turns of attacking, best just to task it

i cant undestand grinding this endlessly, why? just by doing tasks mercs becomes at least playable, and maxing out is a question of time

What about, having campfire full with trash and then go mystery coin farming? 15 per coin and you are probably a bit faster than farming with only the unit you need

This should absolutely not be the best way to get coins. It is so incredibly boring and tedious. They should get rid of a lot of the randomness in the bounty rewards. The rewards for a bounty should be one set of coins for each of the mercs shown unless that merc is maxed out in which case it gives a random merc that isn't maxed out. Heroics would give larger coin rewards than normal and later areas give more than earlier ones. That gives a reason to run the later, more interesting and challenging stuff over grinding the easiest stuff. The funnest way of playing should be the optimal way to play because otherwise players will always choose the boring but effective way and the cool, fun, and exciting stuff will be ignored because it's not efficient.

Out of tasks…I’m already done maxing yogg and never spent a dime. Thank god android allows overlay …..hahaha
