I understood the words individually had a lot of real French like poisson du jour, but they made combination of words that were silly such as "gendarmerie" etc.

Oh yeah there are hints of real words but nothing really makes sense when they are bring up real things. I remember I was working in a Korean restaurant, and this older man was reallly trying to impress this lady. So he called me specifically because I'm Asian and kept speaking in Korean. But I'm friggin MONGOLIAN and didn't want to shut him down. So I lied for the first time in that season and said I was a Korean born abroad and didn't know his own language. World must know I took one for that man

Our soup today is a Bourlain moussante which is just a dash of chettebindre and some melted pisson thon chebattre fleuri. Our seafood today we have a very nice flétan pancrandre de ponce-vase from the the goudesson-mousson vallée and vesantin, it is served with a side of colombon-fonton de dainlain-maintain du guorde fermière colon sauce.

The Behind The Scenes must have been a riot. I can't imagine american actors trying to utter so much gibberish seriously with a fake french accent on top without cracking up. The fact that they learned that gibberish and deliver it so naturally as it cranks up into absurdist level of non-sense. (French native speaker here BTW). One of their best situational comedy skit. You can see the supreme confidence from the expression of Peele at the start, slowly being drained as the sketch progressed, turning into resigned acceptance of defeat. Now thats brilliant acting! And Keegan's French accent ... he can literally play different nationalities and get away with it! 😂

I've seen this skit multiple times and every time it makes me laugh jordan Peele is just brilliant! In many of the sketches his subtle looks or actions really sell whatever is going on. I think he's a better actor than he gets credit for

@@boomer490 Not really, I almost always ask what the waiter recommends and if it's sounds good I'm in. Chances are it's either their special, something their Chef is particularly good at cooking, or something that's seasonal and nice and fresh because the ingredients are in season.

I studied French for 8 years and lived there for one year, and was actually quite impressed with the pronunciation and accent, but about midway through I found myself thoroughly confused by what was being said, and then discovering that Key was just making up words. Made me laugh real good though haha.
