Johnny Blaze (Matt Long) discovers that Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda) wasn't going to let a little thing like a parent stand in the way of their contract.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
When a motorcycle-riding stuntman offers his soul to Mephistopheles in order to save the life of the one he loves most, he is forced to play host to a powerful supernatural entity whose flaming skull visage strikes fear into the heart of his enemies in this feature-film version of the long-running comic series. By day, Johnny Blaze (actor and comic-book devotee Nicolas Cage) is one of the world's best-known stuntmen, but when the sun goes down and he is in the presence of evil, the death-defying daredevil bursts into flames to become the indestructible, motorcycle-riding antihero known to the world as the Ghost Rider.

I love the crossroads detail, the setting they are in. In a crossroads path is where the one and only Robert Johnson made his deal with the devil.

Same. I watched both the 1st movie and the 2nd one. For me, I like the first one even more and I always wanted to be a ghost rider myself. My big sister wanted to show me this movie because she thinks that I will like it. Well I didn't liked it, I loved it.

1:22 The devil says "You're no good to me dead" , to me this seems like the devil stopped Johhny from comitting suicide. I mean if you look carefully, where was Johhny really heading with his motorcycle. I think he realized it was his own fault when his father died and decided to commit suicide. Later on in the movie, Johhny says to the devil "You're the one who has been keeping me alive, all this time" It's really sad if that were true.

I like Matt Long. He did a good job within the few scenes he is in. Makes me wish that he played as Johnny Blaze for the whole film instead of Nicolas Cage.

Well it wasn't a fatal accident it was on purpose cause since Johnny sold his soul to mepheisto he thought he had control over him I he killed his step father to piss him off before he crusied him with the ghost rider demon power it's more like manipulation if you think about it cause he cheated Johnny after he made the deal.
