Hey there. It all depends on what you are looking for. For the outback experience, Queensland is where I seem to have spent much of my time. I live in Western Australia, and the South West corner is very popular. South Australia has it's wine region which is pretty condensed, and everything is pretty close and easy to get to. When I started in 2005, I looked at the map of the Northern Terrritory and thought "wow, there's nothing there". How wrong I was. This is a big sprawling country, and pretty diverse. I don't think my answer helps you much. Most people seem to like coastal areas, and then there's people like me who enjoy the seemingly endless horizons of the outback. The thing is, that most people will direct you to THEIR favourite place, and that may not turn out to be appropriate for you. Let me know if I can be more specific. And thanks for dropping by.
