9 ай бұрынThis is some of the most amazing footage I've ever captured and published on the Marsh Man Masson channel.
I had the great honor this week of getting to float the Tangipahoa River in Southeast Louisiana with Bayou State legend Joe Lavigne, and thanks to the recent drought, the water was as clear as what you'd find in your bathtub.
That meant we not only caught a ton of fish, we also got to see them rocket out of their hiding places to attack our baits! Some of the strikes just absolutely blew our minds.

Joe I’m sure can remember back I. 80”s floating it tossing snag-less Sally’s and your arm be sore by end of trip from catching so many bass on them floats. Great job and good one to be floating the river with!

1:37 i’m just starting to watch a video but that’s an awesome trip. I’ve been fishing that river for 30 years we do a lot of hand grabbing you might know it as noodling on the northern Tangipahoa, but we put in just south of Highway 190 it’s like the end of old Hammond Highway, we call it wild Wayne kennels and we fish it all the way to the interstate

We used to catch spotted bass on the Anacoco in Beauregard parish 50 years ago. I guessing that is the same as a Kentucky bass. Love all of your videos but this one is special.

Yes, Kentucky bass is just a colloquialism for spotted bass.

Joe does. He uses little pistol-grip rods, but I'm not that specialized.

Yeah, the first time I did this with Joe 25 years ago or so, I thought the same thing: Nothing in Louisiana looks like this.
