Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Cliffe Knechtle has a dialogue with students at The University of Connecticut, April of 2009. This is Part 1. The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Four-five years spent in college becoming experts on accounting, engineering and whatnot, yet knowledge of theology, God, etc is treated so trivially that all people think they're already experts because they heard something in Sunday school. Then as grownups they come to the most uninformed conclusions based on the most feeble of efforts to look into things.

Father God, please bless all these students with salvation by Your Grace through Faith, in Jesus' name. The last young man was so genuine in exclaiming his confusion. It was so sad to see. I would love to see him believe the Gospel and live with you forever in Heaven.

I love how people just argue there same point over and over again and just go back to the original argument which is pointless. Also I love how they just leave when they know they can't defend their beliefs.

People are not educated enough to understand the complexity of the human eye. Therefore people will not understand the complexities of anything else. They see with a surface lens, they cannot see past the surface to understand that it’s a complex design that required a designer.

The shift from “having to first assume* God exists” to “allowing the possibility for God to exist is quite a subtle yet powerful one. When the young man quickly walks away it’s evidence that he’s afraid of the truth. That by being confronted with truly open minded analysis , he would have to allow the possibility of God to exist.. and something tells me he knows where that leads is bit too logical , promising , and challenging for his* presupposition. God is glorious, and we ultimately can’t outrun that eternal fact. Jesus is Lord

You can show scientifically how a car works but that does not show there is no driver. And it certainly wouldn't show that the car was produced by random mutations in a vein of iron ore instead of being designed and built by a factory.

To the kid who walked away… you can’t believe in the resurrection without first believing in God first . He has a stepping stone before being able to believe in the resurrection, which is overcoming naturalism, and overcoming the senses of the unreliable flesh

@@darkeen42 ah, you’re projecting. Well, most Christians don’t even read the correct version of the God’s words. Over 80 different versions, all of them revised over and over again; how do they even know which is the perfect version?
@Kevin-nr9hp
@Kevin-nr9hp 2 жыл бұрын
@@darkeen42 well, if there is a perfect God, then wouldn’t you demand a perfect Bible? Where every word is perfect and translated correctly in our English. Psalms 12:6-7 “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Did God actually preserve his purified words for us or not? Is He a liar? Which version Bible do we use if we want God’s purified words??

Christianity is not a religion Jesus is a person you don’t have religion with your family you have a relationship with them that’s why the resurrection is so I’mportant because I believe that Jesus rose from the dead

The amount of time you put into a decision should mirror its importance. You should take a long time to fully decide if Christ is God. Still, that is not to say you should fence sit. Decide. Still, if ever someone said they believed Hume, fine. Hume believed in Christ as God. If you think Hume right, Christ is God. God Bless folks.

What evidence would we expect to see if there were oscillating universes? We would expect to see that this oscillation had a beginning and that all the current matter and energy seemed to come in to existence at that beginning. We would also expect that what happened "before" the big bang would be extremely difficult to interpret. Saying there was nothing before the big bang is VERY deceptive unless you define what you mean by nothing. "everything has a beginning, has a cause" If he is going to invoke that rule, then it has to be broken by something. Why HIS god? HIS god made the universe in six days 6000 years ago, not really an answer for intellectuals is it? As for his response to the student who pointed out that eye witness testimony is very dubious. He simply tried to deny the facts. The holocaust is more than just eye witness testimony, there are photographs, mass graves. What more there are still eye witnesses alive today that we could cross examine. I think the transcript of the cross examination of Matthew Mark Luke and john would be interesting. Hi guys can you confirm that those are your real names? No they are not. Can you all confirm that you witnessed the events you reported on? No we can not. Can you confirm that your testimony is a word perfect script of what happened. No we can not in fact we copied Luke for lots of it, but he wasn't there and that is not his real name. It should really be called Give me an answer to a question i didn't ask.
