If you notice, Glen holds back his singing to give Ray Charles the main focus-- that is pretty classy-- you wouldn't see that today.

I saw Ray Charles seven times in concert and Glen Campbell once.

You won’t see a perfect live performance like this today. How I miss the great singers musicians, and songs.

RIP to both Ray and Glen.

Sad to see it took 2 years for a comment to be posted again. I have always loved Ray Charles, and Glen Campbell. You can see the respect Glen has for him. And Ray being humble, and with a great sense of humor. I just loved every second of this.

I saw it when it first appeared on television. It was terrific then and is still.

I loved both of these men,their talent was our gift.I happened across this I’m so happy that I did. will share it and keep it. It caused my heart to go back to a kinder gentler time,for all of us.

Where blue eyed soul meets the great one . This is forever . God bless both souls.

in my humble opinion, these are two of the best, most talented, and versatile entertainers. Period. And I have been fortunate to see and them both!

Charles brought out the best in Glen's voice- I bet he did that to a lot of people. You can't exactly phone it in when you have to try to keep up with a voice like Ray Charles'.

Loved them both and miss hearing and witnessing their talent. And here they are together!

Two legendary performers in their prime... a lot more locked in together than most variety show duets. Nice ivories on the break, wished they could've had another go 'round for Glen to show his considerable guitar skills.

Mr Ray was a legendary performer. His take on great country songs was personal, soulful and, at the time, ground-breaking. To see him perform was a privilege I will always remember.

Wow, their voices blend like Angels. What a shame they never cut an LP together. I've loved Ray's version since I heard it in 1965, but actually this duet I find better!!! Wonder if either one ever allowed it to be included on an LP? I have to confess though, I just listened to the author's original version , I had never heard it before!! God Bless you BUCK for writing it!!! DANG you should have had a hit with it back in 1964!!???

I love how they traded harmony parts in the last verse!!! Glen could sing and play anything and so could Ray. Was fortunate to see them both. I even got to see Glen in a Cabaret show with legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb. Both genius in their own way, for SURE!!!

I always knew Glen was a great musician, but didn't realize until a bit later that he was a very "hip cat", his "country boy" persona belied a sharp wit and a deep knowledge of the music and where it came from. He had great people on his show and his respect for Ray Charles speaks volumes. Such a great performance! Thanks for posting this.p.s. Glen used to sneak in some modern (jazz) guitar playing, check out his live duo with Jerry Reed on "Guitar Man".

glen, a superb singer/player had to up his vocals game a little to hang with ray. and he killed it! wish he'd gotten a little guitar solo though.

George Jones and Ray Charles, were the best at singing pain songs and make you feel like they truly lived what they were singing, and usually they both had been through similar situations, and Glen done an awesome job, i really liked him and i wish they would show the reruns of Glen Campbell's show.

Beautiful Duet! Two of the Very Best!

This is one of my dad's favorite songs but for some reason it's not on everything. We only have one cd w/ it and I searched long and hard for it....it's a heart wrenching song. I LOVE it!!

My brothers and I made a tape for our parents for Christmas one year and I attempted to sing "Cryin Time". The tape was a huge success, and I love, love, love this song. Norman"Curley" Lewis, that's my Daddy, he jus passed on May 15th, I miss him sooo much, but, he will live on through the music that he played. And many other things as well, his genorosity, his smile, his everything, I can go on and on. Love you Daddy!!
