You found Eegah. You know you can watch every full episode of MST3k at www.club-mst3k.com right?
While driving through the desert, a teenage girl is frightened by a 7-foot giant who appears in her path. After escaping, she returns to the site with her boyfriend and her father in an attempt to find the giant. They do, and it proceeds to terrorize them and the rest of Palm Springs, California. By the way, watch out for snakes! (from wikia)

Eegah has this sense to it where you can feel the 50s turning into the 60s. All of Arch Hall's crooning is 50s style, but the opening credits and the music behind them are really psychedelic for a movie made in 1962. I always loved that.

It's so strange how even some of the most popular actors in history have landed roles in bad movies at some point in their careers. For example, James Best starred in "The Killer Shrews", Ron Howard was in "Village Of The Giants", Peter Graves was in two MST3K-riffed movies "The Beginning Of The End" and "Parts The Clonos Horror", Michael Landon was in "I Was A Teenage Werewolf", Raul Julia was in "Overdrawn At The Memory Bank", etc.

The motel in this movie always charmed me: the bright colors, the pool, so 1960s. The room with the oven in the living room was actually where the guy who played Mr. Miller lived, which could be why it looks more like a home than a motel room.

That Arch Hall Jr. has one of the most horrible faces I've ever seen on a human being. He must have fallen out of the ugly tree and hit each and every branch face first on the way down. "Oh no! This guy went to the Torgo school of fondling!" I couldn't stop laughing at that line. Between that line, the horrible dialogue, and blondies jacked up face, this was one hell of a funny episode. +August West eh.. The kid doesn't look THAT bad. I mean.. Have you ever seen "Brute Man??" I think his biggest problem is that he squints too much, kind of like Clint Eastwood (but it gave a mean look to Eastwoods characters, not the case with this kid.) It doesn't help that he is extremely tan.. Looks like he spent a year out in the desert sun with no sunblock :P
