I have a question, why do you always set the board from Hikaru's perspective?
@theawesomeottermelon8850
@theawesomeottermelon8850 3 жыл бұрын
@@unAbated. My assumption would be that because this is Hikaru's channel, and subsequently more people are here to see Hikaru play, having the board facing that way makes it easy on the casual viewer to decide which perspective the board is facing. Mainly because they were inherently drawn into Hikaru's perspective when they came in. That, or they didn't have control of the editing to begin with, so Hikaru's editor placed it that way -- pretty logically I might add.

Read. Upvote so Hikaru can see this. Again, the same faulty clock. 6:13 when hikaru hits the clock at 8 seconds, it goes down to 7 seconds, meaning he lost 1 second. This clock seems to go down an extra second if you hit it at the .0 mark I've made several examples of this on your video some days ago.

@@bakachi4456 It is kind of a big deal, 1 second is a lot when you're playing these time controls. It could definitely ruin some games if timed unfortunately. Nobody wants to lose (or win) to a malfunctioning clock, even in a super-casual game.
@WorkDayPegasus
@WorkDayPegasus 3 жыл бұрын
@@bakachi4456 Ofcourse it is for fun. It wouldn't be fun if you lost the game on time due to a faulty clock making you lose 6-10 seconds in a 1 minute game (that happened in another of his video). I am only informing others of the faulty clock. Nobody else seemed to notice this on any of these videos. What else is fun is finding these small details in a video. Golani tried to give a handshake to Hikaru at 6:34 but got an airshake instead...how can u do that to a kid Hikaru?
@nickdick2
@nickdick2 3 жыл бұрын
Golani always gives that airshake probably to avoid physical contact due to Covid. Hikaru used to shake hands in previous videos, maybe now he's just omitting…

Not sure if it's still a rule or not but at 6:08 Hikaru had an illegal move. He took the Rook with a pawn and never promoted the pawn to anything before hitting the clock. Maybe they have changed it over the years.

The butcher was comfortable and much better this time. Still he needs to calm down a bit. Need to take a few sip of that drink from time to time during gameplay. After all he is an NM and has immense caliber. Hikaru is still the same speed demon we once knew. Also I enjoyed how Hikaru helped Golani from time to time. Master yoda he is.
