Yknow, im sure like literally noone will read this, and thats okay.. For some reason, these videos instill a nostalgic feeling in me now, ive been watching the librarian explore these gmod maps for so long that his voice acompanied by the gmod setting just fires up the nostalgia segment of my brain. Idk.. i spent like the last 10 minutes reminiscing of my childhood thats literally fleeting in front of my very eyes as i have mere months as a 17 year old and the big scary world of adulthood is in front of me, and its really nice to have these videos to bring me back to a time where i could watch gmod content like VanossGaming's old sandbox videos without a care in the world. I dont even know if this comment really makes much sense at all, but thank you Librarian, i've been around for a slight bit and i've enjoyed every video you've put out so far

Your style and way of playing in Gmod VR is peak to me. I would really like to explore these places with you in VR, but unfortunately having a companion seems to kill the liminal vibe.

I don't have submechanophobia, but that descent did trigger my bathophobia (fear of depths). Ofc, with the content you cover in this channel, it's not surprising.

You know what this map has going for it? The sheer mechanical detail on those airlock doors. It really makes it feel immersive

Somebody talented should made a map based on the Troll A Platform, this is realy a creepy but fascinating place. In this thing you can just take an 400m deep elevator ride to the bottom of the sea in an hollow concrete structure.

Wow, I really enjoyed this map! It did more with the corpse than most other ones I've seen. Props to the map maker! (And all the implications it lets you make was just *chef kiss*)

I really like the corpse being propped up against the inside of the interior airlock door, and how it fell into the airlock the moment it fully opened. Of course, trying to cycle the airlock again would probably lead to comical Half-Life 2 loud slamming noises as it was caught in the mechanism, but the first glimpse was still pretty atmospheric.

the light poles remind me more of soma, also a special model for water based maps would be cool!

It would imply whatever happened in the base happened over the course of a few days or weeks. What happened in the the mine must have been so bad everyone died instantaneously judging by the skeleton’s positions being scattered. They must have died first since they’re the most decayed, being just a pile or bones. After this I’d imagine the base tried to send an SOS signal, but for whatever reason it wouldn’t send whether they knew or not. While awaiting rescue that would never arrive, they retire to the rest of the base, quarantining the bloodbath below. The bloody block must be where the slaughter began which caused everyone else to barricade off the block. The decayed state of those bodies in the bloody block would indicate some days have passed until the slaughter continued to the rest of the survivors. Survivors were caught off guard in the living quarters as it seems to have happened spontaneously judging by the sitting corpse. A splinter group in the cafeteria must have known something was up and barricaded themselves in the room. During all of this the communications were shut off somehow. After the total eradication of the survivors, whatever killed them burst a hole into the hull, causing the structure to flood. The vents are still closed indicating what happened was supernatural in nature, or there were multiple threats the survivors were not aware of initially.

2:00 The US's Great Lakes get pretty damn deep and are exceptionally pretty large. So, there is a precedent for a lake to be this deep. Hell, isn't Loch Ness over in Ireland one of the deepest bodies of freshwater?
