@KBM515 1) Why are you responding to this with that comment? I didn't say anything about it being cancelled. 2) It WAS cancelled. Co-creator Michael Jacobs tried to continue the show on other outlets. He didn't want to be done with it.

@KBM515 They wrapped things up because they were aware the show was ending, so they had time to write some semblance of an ending. But it was still cancelled. They wanted to make more seasons, but Disney did not renew them for me.

This show wasn’t good tbh most of the fans were bmw fans and this show was far cry from real life probs that were shown in bmw. Disney made this too PG to be as touching as the original and so they tried keeping it going by constantly doing flashbacks and bringing back old cast members. That being said the best part about this show was the Mia-Shawn dynamic that was really well done

I Agee with u. I feel like Shawn and anglea had their second chance in GMW I know people supposed to move on and things, but knowing what happened when anglea left with her dad and they broke it up knowing diseny could of gave them a second chance at this and TBH I really don't like Shawn and Katy I mean I get Shawn and maya are supposed to be the same influenced people on each other it's just Shawn and anglea were the most liked "1st didn't really trusted relationship " 2nd both mother left and both dads died. it's just that after all they been threw and after all those years they come back,and just THROW IT ALL AWAY even Rider thought they were a good match it what made BMW better ! And I get it when shows come back or when they have spin off they either have new chapter or new old ,this is BS and Shawn should of gave the ring to anglea and I know he just let her be with her dad but after some dates Shawn thought "oh why not married Katy " just 😠And wasn't Shawn a writer or poet

And honestly Shawn and Angela had a more realistic relationship than perfect Cory and Topanga, who I love but come on now Shawn and Ang went through some real ish and always found their way back to each other. And Mayas cool and all but they keep forcing it down everyone's thoughts that her and Shawn have a connection and he just has to date her blonde mom. Like come on

Shawn should have been the main character in the first place. He is so much more interesting. The kid with no motivation and no support system finding/making exactly that. Then later finding out how much influence that system has on him and how much influence he wants it to have. That is a Boy Meeting World story. Corey and Topanga seem more like side characters at times.

Did you even watch the first season? Shawn was meant to be one of two best friends but only Rider had chemistry with the other main cast members so the other kids lines and life was given to Shawn.

I think I was the only one that found the Shawn and Maya relationship forced and a bit awkward, did I completely miss something because they really had no reason to really really want to be in each other's life other than Maya really wanted a dad and I guess Shawn really wanted a family maybe. and for whatever reason he was always hanging out with his best friend and his best friend's kid and she was always hanging out her best friend and her best friends dad so it just happened kinda. there just wasn't much to me that should have resulted in their relationship I think the show just didn't do that good of job in making me believe in the relationship between Shawn and katy. It would have been much better if he knew Katy the mom first fell in love and was unsure about being a dad and so he has Corey try to help him be a better dad and get close to Maya so he can make it work with Katy. instead he tries really hard to get close to Katy to make it work with Maya that just sounds weird when say it out loud and you don't watch the show and it's all innocent but weird in real Life.

@@pimpking5000 I will give credit for how Girl Meets World was really trying to dig into serious topics and issues. The problem was that the show was airing on The Disney Channel. So they really had to hold back in some areas

Ok I know it's not the point but the math has always bothered me. Shawn says he didn't meet her til he was 32. The girls are around 15 and we know Riley wasn't born til her parents were in their early to mid 20s so yeah that doesn't make sense.

Maya is a year older than Riley give or take a few months. So, Riley would be 14-15 and Maya should be 15-16 for the last season. Shawn would be 34, in this season. He said he was 32 in season 1. So by that math, Riley would have been born when her parents were 19-20 years old. Maya would have been born when Shawn was around 17-18 years old.
