Filipinos have this culture of being humble but patriotic
@jasonquinones49014 ай бұрын
When they tried to pass a law against his fight with dela Hoya, the reasoning was to protect our national 'treasure'... (Who is Pacquiao himself! NOT the county's image or stats.) ... from forces that maybe detrimental to his health and wellbeing...bec most people thought it was an unfair pairing.
That Manny Pacquiao guesting was so funny, that time he wasn't yet study for English so he just makes jokes because he can't response in English well and he doesn't want to be embarrassed for it🤣

It's not to "save the nation's pride" as in image, it's to save the "pride of our nation" - who is Manny Pacquiao. They probably wanted to save him from something that can damage him permanently as a fighter. Remember, he said this was "like a circus" so they probably thought they wanted to give a star a beat-down for profit. The "pride of our nation" phrase was used as a description of Manny, not the actual "pride" of the country.

The pacquiao speaking in Tagalog with those announcers seems missing translation, as pacquiao telling jokes saying “they thought he is praising them cause they don’t understand Tagalog language, that’s why we can sell them”. 😂

Salt Papi may be chubby but we have to remember that he was a nurse in a mental institution. That has to be the place in a hospital where the strongest and most alert medical staff can be found, aside from ER. And he knows anatomy, so..😅

Haidelyn Diaz is not the first gold medalist in the Olympic in the Philippines because there are more ahead of her like Paeng Nepomocino in bowling and Lidia De Vega in track and field, and many more.
@Gemini060814 ай бұрын
They got their golds from different tournaments though and also bowling is not an official Olympics game that's why not really recognized, Hidelyn Diaz got it from Olympics and a main sport that's why she is the first gold medalist.
@TravelBondFamily4 ай бұрын
sad to say she was the ONLY OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST.. That is way we need to be proud of her.
@cocomine88974 ай бұрын
@@Gemini06081 Onyok Velasco from boxing is ahead and many more, Hidelyn Diaz became more controversial just because of her life story as well as the promotional of MMK to get views, how can you say that bowling is not an official game in Olympics while they are there holdings the flag of the country and they received the medals, hahaha are you a kindergarten or a dumb?😬 Track and field is also not an official game in Olympic 😬
@cocomine88973 ай бұрын
@@Gemini06081 Haha obviously you know nothing about sports, onyok velasco was a gold medalist in Olympic that's why he became celebrity after winning and later on he join his acting career, what about Efren Bata Reyes in his prime duh!
