Vast majority of PC gamers are not even remotely interested in consoles and thus is not competition. Competition only works in a sector where you can win customers over by offering similar yet superior product. Only Xbox is the competition because they're both consoles. PC does not fall in the same market segment. PC gamers argue about which CPU and GPU is better to score that smooth 1440p 240FPS gameplay, they couldn't give two flying fucks about consoles and their shovelware. That's why having the PC playerbase on YOUR side is the best thing to do. You know you can't entice them with the hardware, but you can however entice some of them with the games/software... Microsoft learned this years ago. Sony is finally waking up.

meanwhile i'm playing this game on my humble setup I5 2400 GTX 1050 ti 12gb DDR3 ram and i'm getting better visuals and performance than a PS4 could ever output, when FSR is on that level of difference goes even further. I'll never understand why these fanboys think that you need an expensive PC to actually play games, PC gaming really isn't that expensive. you can be on a tight budget and still have a good experience.

God damn, it was so hard slugging through this. Needed three breaks before the end. Good on you Alex surviving that. I thank god that every day I never ended up like this manchild. I prefer the Xbox Series X and gamepass over my Ps4 (do not pay for online for that when Xbox is the better multiplayer console). Slowly, especially during this pandemic, and I'm finding you should either become a PC gamer, where you eventually get everything and more consoles give, or have 2 consoles, but limit one. Eventually, I plan to get a Ps5 to go with my Series X, solely for their exclusives, but that is many, many, many years done the line right now because, honestly, I have not even found 1 game on there I needed that was exclusive to PS5, let alone 8-10 that would even begin to make the purchase of an entire console worth it. Like with PS4, I do not plan to pay for a monthly or yearly online subscription and PS5 will exist just for for the exclusives. It is not a perfect solution, but as you said, console is something I have known all my life and I could not be bothered looking up the parts for a PC, even if you do not need the next, latest equipment. One of the parts that makes you so great is that you're not a toxic PC elitist at all, unlike most, but just a true gamer that sees game for their entertainment value only, and that is always a good stance to have. 1 reason sums up playing on PC. Mods. Custom visuals, gameplay tweaks & improvements. Optimization etc. Unless one's PC has worse overheating issues than the console, no real reason to entertain vanilla version.

According to this guy, to be at the level of a ps4, you need a 3090? Is he on some heavy drugs? An 8-year-old GTX 970 ($250 at the time) is already capable of vastly surpassing any ps4 performance such as resolution, detail, and framerate. Even the current PS5 and Xbox SEries X are comparable at best to a mid-level 2000 series Nvidia like a 2070 or 2070 super, nothing more... but precisely what hardware do these console fanboys think they are buying for $400 or $500? Do they believe Sony and Microsoft are doing charity by giving them $2,000 or $3,000 hardware at a quarter or less of the original price?

Games on PC stay around forever, these PS fanboys prolly gonna have to play it on PC if they want to in 20 years. Hahaha.
