Just like to say that McTerminator was defensively flawless today, he 's very good tactically and he seems to have his defensive abilities firing. Anything I can say that's missing. I'd like to see Scotty try a few more long distance passes successfully, a few more passing build ups to get the team to attack, but he's a good player. I'd like to see him become world class, but he's not at his peak yet, maybe he can still pull them out.

He has a lot of energy and honestly I think his passing and control is better than what people claim. He’s definitely better than Fred arguably both offensively and defensively. Doubt he can be that CDM but he can definitely do a job and maybe more.

the thing is a few seasons ago lots of utd fans were saying they'd take doucoure from Watford (now at Everton) ..... would of cost about 40m. mctomminay is a home grown player who's every bit as good as doucoure. perfectly fine squad player

The best part about being in the stadium was after Leeds equalised, their fans were going berserk and really loud, then 5 minutes later,. they were all standing with their arms crossed.

Disagree that “everyone” had a good game. Dan James going forwards was like a headless chicken. Repeatedly made the wrong decision and then compounded it each time with piss poor execution. Saw Bruno repeatedly explaining to him what he was doing wrong and needed to do better.

I know he likes playing Leeds, but, despite my reservations, McTominay played really well today, all over the field!!! Remains to be seen if he can continue in this vein, against better teams, but good today!!! If, he's what we're stuck with, and he plays like this regularly, no complaints from me!!! If.........

@@joysylad1985 But the problem is not all teams are as open as Leeds. Against a team which either sits back or against a very good high-pressing team, McTominay really struggles, because he doesn't move the ball forward with confidence and he also has no room to make runs into the box.

Wrong, McTominay is better at winning duels than van de beek. Lindelof should be an 8 since he had an assist and a couple of notable interceptions from Leeds' crosses but everyone is denying him that praise cos they want to drop him for Varane the new shiny toy. It's a psychological thing

Don’t just put all the blame of rashford like Rashford isn’t a creative guy but he is our second top sssister behind Bruno and Rashford is selfish at times maybe but he is our top scorer last season if u don’t count penalties so like Rashford has been picked apart for a bad season, which he did have it weren’t a great season he was inconsistent but like all of a sudden people just want him dropped, Pogba best position is midfield he just can’t be bothered with the minor defensive responsibilities, legit when Pogba is in midfield half the time he don’t try. Like I like pogba and Rashford but Pogba is just as if not more inconsistent than Rashford

We dominated in every department today, same as Everton 1st half in preseason. I know it's early in the season, but we are looking better in team play. Better positioning by the players, no spaces for Leeds to attack apart from when Shaw was a little too high early on. Wan Bissaka looked solid and Lindeloff kept track of his player and cut out the danger. An issue we have had with him in the past. The teams passing was crisp and comfortable in play under pressure. Pogba's defensive work got better as the game went on, looks like he's been working on it. My only issue today was Dan James, he was not on anyone's wavelength. He had the opportunities to get a few assists or goals, but made the wrong decisions and didn't look confident. I think he knows his days are numbered. The gap in quality between him and his teammates was massive. I think he might get sold before the window closes. Or would do if we were competent at selling players.

The Pogba on the wing thing, you need to realise that he got 3/4 of his assists from midfield which is clearly his best position when he’s allowed to roam and do as he pleases like he does for France. He doesn’t play well for France cause he loves France more, he plays well for France cause they know how to use him. Juventus knew how to use

Mctom and fred cant take the ball from the defenders and progress.. they are mot aware enough to receive the ball and move forwards.. very poor positioning sense.. lets see how they perform with better teams

Great performance and can hopefully see improvements in tactics and coaching. However, still think Ole needs to be very mindful of his in-game management with subs and rotating of players throughout the season (e.g. could’ve subbed Bruno off with 20mins left). That was also a good opportunity to give Donny some minutes to see what he could do and keep him happy. Otherwise, could see issues with players’ fitness throughout the season again, such as Bruno tiring toward end of last season.

My opinion: Pogba's 3/4 assists came from the midfield position where he had drifted in. Pogba in Mcsause's position with a proper CDM, Sancho instead of James and may be a proper left winger (VDB/Diallo/Elanga??). Uff

It might work, but when we've played Pogba there in the past we concede because he doesn't have the defensive focus. A proper DM beside him will help, but even if you're playing next to Makelele in midfield you still have to be defensively disciplined. Pogba is magnificent but prone to switching off which can be a liability in a centre midfield.

There is no ideal partner for Pogba in CM. Prime Matic yes but too old now. Pogba best games for United have been on the left. I didn't always think this but the evidence is always on the pitch.

I think PP best games is when he doesn't play too deep also. And he creates more from the middle. In a United interview PP said he started playing in attack and coaches started putting deep and he said he is happy he never became a defender.

Im almost sure we beat leeds 6-2 and still lost to Sheffield, drew to West brom etc. You can't be judged too much off leeds because it's a one off game. No one else in the league plays like leeds. It was a good result but fans need to calm down. Even Arsenal beat leeds 4-2 last season. It's the next 5 games he should be properly judged on

Great selection from Ole. Varane and Sancho have barely trained and he knew James and McFred would be perfect against Leeds with the space they'd get and their running. Let's be real, James and McFred are going to struggle for games this season with VDB beefing up and Utd in the market for a new DM so they need to play the games that suit them like this one. Maybe I'm being too hopeful talking about McFred struggling for games...

Eyes agree it's one game at time and a long way to go.,yes definitely midfield ? Fred definitely in,being holding Player,Pogba should Play through the middle. Utd play high tempo is their greatest weapon. Don't even discourse the goons even being contenders overall. It's a long season and European Competition. Utd as a bag of Players going forward. Bleek is a pity he doesn't get a look, probably the lesser cup competition,, future doesn't look bright probably. Premier League no doubt is the Silver ware to win overall + Champion League will highlight Utd having a brilliant Season. Team selection no doubt Oli issues.... Utd we stand.

Honestly, that was the team I predicted because we play Leeds off the park in the 6-2 game ole doesn't change things like that. Remember Lampard Chelsea he never changed the team or tactics. I wouldn't have start Donny, we needed energy. Also, Mctominay is like Nani against Arsenal he always performs against Leeds. Lindelof should start the next game he did well why can't Varane be Lindelof Telles. I love Varane but u can't bench a player that's playing good because u buy someone else

We won great but I was a bit miffed at ollys substitutions matic for mctominsy OK he takes pogba off and you would think he would put a midfielder on he plays our new signing Sancho in his place instead of playing him at right wing at where he was bought for Sancho was a straight swap for James

Don't get too excited. Ole is wrong again. It's better to lose a few games with the right team selection than to win a few with the wrong team selection, as only the right team can eventually take us over the line. No wonder we can't win against the biggest teams, let alone trophies and titles.

I keep saying that you should trust the manager. He knows the players best. What certaiin players can do, he knows most. For eg what Mctominay does DVB cant do. DVB cant defend like McTominay. He made a few crucial defensive headers today. DVD is good. But he has to convince the manager. He is too soft, I feel.

Van de Beek best position is playing forward where Bruno’s plays. He’s not a defensive player nor someone who can control a games or give great passes. He’s the kind of player for one touches and creating pace and space for his teammates that’s all. That’s why he’s not really getting games. Cuz Bruno and Pogba are better

The team flows a bit better when pogba starts on the left and there’s no Rashford, gives Greenwood more space to run into and create things, a trait that rashys been missing for a couple of games now think this is why he didn’t start most games at the euro.

Haha love ‘fans’ like you. Think you know it all. You cannot complain when you win 5-1. The manager picks his team based on a number of factors. Would I like to see VDB play more? Yes. But ole is the boss and sees everything so going to support what the manager goes with. But you keep thinking you have the knowledge, experience and qualifications to manage a premier league football team.
