After positioning the flaps manually, did you do the basic settings in VCDS with the servomotor mounted in position or out of the working position?

What are the symptoms of bad v71 motor? My heating will only blow into cabin if i press recirculation button🤔 no air blows when when recirculation is off but I can hear the motor for fan running

Ahoj. Ja som práve dnes riešil tieto klapky na Passat b5,5 a už som zúfalý. Njede mi klíma. Kúrenie ide. Ked skúsim trubku od konpresora tak je studená no studený vzduch mi neprúdi do auta. Diagnostika písala že je problém s klapkami. Tak som to celé rozobral. Všetky klapky mi finguju a vyzerá to že správne. Na tej hlavnej klapke ktorá reguluje studený a teplý vzduch som vybral motorček. Aj ked funguje. Aj som ho rozobral či funguje správne a vyzerá byť v poriadku. Ked som potiahol klapku ručne bez motorčeka tak tiež vyzerá že funguje správne. Tak ja už neviem. Nevieš mi prosím ťa poradiť ako dalej? 🙏

Prosím ťa, na Superb 3 mam ten istý problém, musím vymeniť motorček, lebo ten potenciometer ktorý je tam neviem zohnať. Inak motorček sa točí tam a späť, ale iba keď nieje zapojené do funkcie. Keď to namontujem a urobím kalibráciu normálne ide a ide aj vymazať chybu s diagnostikou, ale po chvíly už zase nefunguje a zostanu klapka otvorená.

Thanks for the helpful video. I tried replacing the V71 motor on my 2008 Skoda Octavia MK2 Estate, which has the exact same motor assembly and climate control unit as the golf pictured here. I thought the motor was broken because in normal operation the motor pulls both flaps open, then closes them and then it pulls the little white wheel completely to the other end, which opens both flaps again. In other words, the motor always goes through it’s full range of motion, so as a result the car is always in recirculation mode, regardless of the setting on the climatronic. I checked the measuring block in VCDS and it does give a reading of the flap position, but the actual position of the flap is way off. Do you have any clue what the problem might be?

I kindly ask your support! I changed the motor with new original one. But the error V71 remaining, even after basic setting and cleaning fault codes. The motor is doing only partial movement. without motor everything is fine and mouves properly. Before to quit and go to the dealer, do you have any idea? Thank you so much!

Really out of any help! Comments are in 3 or 4 different languages, I guess that gent have no ideea about how to measure a feed-back potentiometer. Remove from place, connect ohmmeter to any 2 terminals and turn slowly the middle moving part. One measure should read constant, other 2 measurements constant increase and decrease of resistance. Any drop of value means a damage of resistance portion of potentiometer. Without solid knowledge of electronics to repair, means you will need a new one.
