During this natty game, future NBA players Hachimura and Norvell Jr. were just chilling on the bench / redshirting.

Hey Michael, Big UCLA fan here, as both my parents attended the school. I just finished watching your 3-part series on the Gonzaga program, and I have to say you did a great job with it. I'd had this in my 'Watch Later' list for about a month already, but with my Bruins getting ready to take on the top-ranked Bulldogs in the Final Four(!) this Saturday, I thought now would be a fitting time for me to learn more about the opponent. I've always been somewhat familiar with the Zags' history, what with their meteoric rise in recent years & all- in fact, the very first UCLA basketball game I can distinctly remember is that 2006 comeback vs Gonzaga, since I watched it as a little kid with my dad. Because of this, GU was thus one of the very first college basketball schools I learned about other than my very own UCLA. But your mini-docuseries really showed me that there was more to Gonzaga hoops than just those 2 images I already had seared into my mind, of Adam Morrison crying on the court as the Bruins are being mobbed at midcourt, or of a hobbled NWG breaking down after his blocked shot cost the Zags the natty vs UNC. I really must say that you truly succeeded in making their story more compelling. TL;DR Very informative and interesting, even to the non-fan of Gonzaga. This definitely gave me Jon Bois vibes. Nice work.

There's another Bulldog storm brewing in the 509. We love this team. On to the 2021 Final four! Would we have it any other way? naw. I believe in my heart of hearts this is Mark's best team on the floor suited in good ol red, white & blue. You never have to Go back to watch a new version of a GONZAGA Throw back. Only this time we got something for them. We will play Zagz basketball 1 game at a time 1 hustle play at a time and earn it all the way through. Team ball, Zag Nation ball. No matter what we will never forget what you have done for our great town of Spokane Washington. God bless you Mighty ZAGZ!

not a zaga fan im va fan btw. Your choice of song to end this video is amazing along with the rest.what made you pick that song. Does it have to do with the title 'dog days are over"that can be used as the symbol for the bulldogs.

I grew up in the early 90s watching GU when we were fighting for second or third in the WCC. Tickets could be bought at the gym and were cheap. Back then we were thrilled with a WCC title. I never thought we would win a game in the tourney, let alone be anywhere near where the program is today. To call any of this a tragedy is poor wording. We are playing with house money. Our tradition of making the tourney may stop one day, but I’ll look back on every win and every loss as a blessing because we got to watch. Tragic? No euphoric. Any real Zag would say the same.

@11:00 whoa when Killian Tillie got injured in warmups, less than 30 minutes before tip-off against FSU, they immediately became heavy underdogs and I was surprised they kept it as close for as long as they did.

The refs made the 2nd half of the 2017 title hard to watch. They slowed down what was going to be an exciting finish to a national championship.

And we lost the championship again this year. Part 4 is gonna be sad.

When a coach like Mark Few can put together the kind of teams that he has, the Gonzaga men’s basketball program is far from being a tragedy.

@7:15 I instantly wanted Few to substitute Melson for Williams-Goss here. Not that this was as bad as Washington keeping RG3 in wayyyyyyyy to horrifically long against the Seahawks in that playoff game where RG3's leg was obviously hanging by a thread, but Melson had previously started for Gonzaga for a season or two, in HS ball in Oregon he had multiple 40 points games, and and not too much earlier NWG had sat out a game against, I think, Santa Clara, and Gonzaga still blew them out by an absurdly astronomical amount.

Much appreciated Docu Series! Brought back lots of great memories :) I was at the game, and I felt Zach Collins was the best player on the floor, oops, I mentioned his name, probably another foul called, lol! We gonna get the Natty this year, 2021!!! With more to come in the future! #ZagUp #ZagNation #UnitedWeZag Update: Getting that First Natty this coming year, 2022!!! The bench is good enough to be an AP Preseason Top 25! #GoZags

@1:52 "This was a rare case of a small conference school being bigger than a powerhouse like UNC." When UNC beat Gonzaga in the 2009 tournament, their starting line-up was 6-9. 6-8. 6-5. 6-4. 5-11, while Gonzaga's starting line-up was 6-11, 6-11, 6-8, 6-5, 6-2. I remember watching it with friends in the dorm and one guy saying "damn, Gonzaga's huge" - didn't matter. Psycho-T was dominant unlike when he lost to Gonzaga in MSG when UNC was ranked #2 and Gonzaga #23 or something.

@5:13 When I listened to national sports talk radio the day after the 2017 final, it was mostly off-season NFL talk (why I've never listened to national sports talk radio since... as far as I know nobody has come close to the talent of The Fabulous Sports Babe / Nanci Donnelllan), and then complaining about how the refs ruined the Gonzaga / UNC game but nothing specific about how TV Teddy Valentine gave Zach Collins the business.
