Cody, at the beginning of the year I was in a severe depression, in and out of hospitals, psychiatric waiting rooms, and weekly appointments with my therapist. One of the biggest sources of my depression is self hatred and not liking what I see when I look in the mirror. Through your honesty with sometimes struggling to get out there and do the workout you want or you ate a bit more than usual, you reminded me that that is okay. Now, I have been officially discharged from therapy because of how well I'm doing! I'll be on medication for the rest of my life, but right now, I am the happiest I have ever been. Your videos have helped me get out there and loose some weight! I've lost 10kg in the past few months. I'm unsure if I would have done that without your motivational videos. For the last few years my family and I didn't know if I would even make it through high school. I graduated last month and am going on to do my dream course at University. Things are looking up. Thankyou for your constant motivation and unknowing support. I think I speak for all the subscribers of this channel when I say, we love you! Can't wait to see the father you become.

Happy paternity leave!!!! I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (at the ripe age of 28) this year which brought my life long fitness journey to nearly a haul while I got medical care and learned what my body needs to be well. This channel has brought me so much joy to follow your journey - even when my journey was healing on the couch for months. I ended up running a half marathon and I am now back fully to my fitness routine and I just wanted to comment that although I am often a silent follower, I have been encouraged, uplifted, inspired, and entertained by this content during some of my most challenging days. All the best and thank you for sharing your journey!!!

This channel started while I was at the depths of a 3 year saga with my own chronic illness. Watching Cody try while I couldn't at all was really comforting and inspiring. After starting a magical new drug, I'm starting to be able to get close to real exercise again (it's triggered by activity, so it's a toughie) and I think I'll dig into the archives to help me overcome fear and get back into the gym. Aka I feel you!

This was really solid advice and is so applicable to anything in life. Being in my mid 20s right now, there is so much uncertainty and so much fear not knowing where I’m going or what I’m doing, yet still being afraid to take risks and go after what I want. It’s been really hard to ground myself over this past year or two since graduating college. But life is really one obstacle at a time, and just because it’s challenging doesn’t mean you can’t overcome it. Thanks for always being so straightforward and open with your life. Everything from your comedy to your introspective takes really do help people out :)

This is a completely selfish thought. But I’m really hit hard emotionally by this news. I started a weight loss odyssey last September and really started to pick up running early this year with thanks, in large part, to this channel. I had seen some of Cody’s content before but his videos on this channel made me really connect with him and gave me motivation to do more and push myself further than I thought I could. I’ve lost over 175 pounds and I’m in the final stages of training for my first half marathon and I truly don’t think I would be saying that without Cody. I completely understand why this decision was made and respect the hell out of it. But it sucks. I will commit, as Cody says at the end of this video, to not give up personally and keep fucking going. Thank you so much for this content Cody and I truly hope and wish that you will return to this channel next year. Happy holidays to all the choochies. We still ascend together, always.

Thanks to you I was inspired to sign up for my first half marathon in February. I thank you for all the time and work you've put into the channel, and will wait patiently on any future updates. My guy! I owe so much to this channel. I started training for my first ever marathon on the first week you posted. Since then, I've literally gone week to week with you, and completed that marathon with an olympic triahlon along the way, and am prepping for my first ultra and eventually, an iron man next year. And genuinely, seeing you go through the highs, the lows but still ALWAYS ASCENDING, was such a motivation to me man. I'll miss that upload notification. Go be the dad we know you'll be. Energy. Is. Everything.
@sagebaysinger51316 ай бұрын
One of the coolest things about this channel to me is to go back and see your progression. When you ran your first ultramarathon you said you started with the mentality, “why would I count myself out?” You also shared that you didn’t feel motivated after the pandemic and that first ultra helped you bounce back. As a fan of all your channels it’s great to see how often you’ve posted over the last year on all your channels and how you seem to be really enjoying it again. You’ve also helped me to get motivated and back into running and I am officially training for my first 10K. Thanks Cody!

A week ago I decided to quit my job of 9 years, frequently working 98 hours a week, or maybe a tad less every once in awhile, and focus on spending this next year getting back to running and taking a lower paying, less hour per week job. Ive lost 100 pounds in a year before back in 2013 but Ive gained it back and then some. Drinking has also become a problem for me. Tired of it all and finally grabbing the steering wheel after being on cruise control for so long. Been watching this channel since you started it and hope everything goes well with the birth of your son and you come back whenever you feel comfortable and we can ascend together ✊🏼

I was sitting here feeling down and overwhelmed after battling an infection for the past month that has left me in a lot of pain and as if I’ve aged 10 years. It’s really cut into my fitness and I’m worried I lost a lot of the progress I made this year with consistent weight lifting and getting back into running (did a half marathon!). This really inspired me though and I’m on my way out the door right now to move around a bit. Thanks for the motivation and for humanizing the process of working towards a goal. Take all of the time you need. Being a parent is a trip and that transition can be heavy, but you will both do great.

Just wanted to say this channel was so inspiring to me through the summer, pushing me to ride by first century ride (100 miles woohoo!), run my first ever running race (10k woohoo!) as well as running a half marathon. I used to hate running and only did it to achieve a certain look to my body, but watching you have so much fun doing it lead me to train properly, start slow and work up to higher mileages and faster times. By the end of fall going into winter, I am running 10 miles and having fun doing it. Just wanted to say a huge thank you Cooordaay and just say how much I appreciate you sharing your journey. This probably won’t be seen but I’m going to post it anyway. I’ve got my first ever 5K race today after deciding to take up running in January. It’s 0 degrees here in the UK, so perfect weather for a run, choo choo

I have been watching your training videos/videos in general over the last 4 months while I feed my newborn son. You’ve kept my husband and I encouraged and entertained on your journey while we were in the middle of becoming new parents and it’s incredible to think you’re going to step into the journey of being a first time parent as well. It’s an amazing choice to focus on Kelsey and your new babe, the time absolutely flies with a newborn and you will want every second to soak up that time with him. Proud of you Cody!!

As a result of this chanel (which I've been watching since the first video) I've done two half marathons in the last 15 months. As well, I'm training for a marathon in November and two more half marathons in between now and then. I truly wish you good luck with the baby and hope you come back soon. Choo Choo Cody!
