Open face speed and steep angle of attack keep it open and keep follow through as low to the ground as long as you can. Also it’s a shot that’s completely lie dependent for 99.9% of golfers brads just a freak to be able to pull it off out of the rough

👏👏Unfortunately there are too many experts using the mega slice. If you are in need of golf balls, go to the course, at the men’s white tees, measure 160-180 yards, then head straight into the woods. You can fill a bag.

Seen another comment saying that Brad is the guy they're always watching closely on every shot trying to learn from. Feel the exact same way, he's fascinating in the way that Tiger always was - in that you can never count him out no matter how hard a shot looks. That's what makes Brad so perfect for this channel, look forward to every video!

@@user-px7mm6cq7s For certain the toe is always higher than the heal. Because during the swing the shaft will flex (bend). This is why a dynamic test (swinging) is better for club fitting sessions.

Great content!!! Videos I'd like to see: 1) Would be nice to know how this shot shaping effect the distance, i.e for draw do I go down a club / fade up a club. Will expect less or more run out from a draw/fade? 2) Wet conditions play, Wind conditions play. Wind speed for 1or 2 stick into vs down fan. How do you guestimate these? 3) Ball above/below feet, downhill/uphill lies. 4) Playing out thick heavy second cut grass, hybrid or just more loft and get back in play... 5) Distance control out of green side bunkers. 6) Green reading and distance control on putting. 7) Alignment and distance control on chipping. 8) How to get the correct distance stance away from the ball for each club. 9) What are you doing with your arms at setup, tight into you body, relaxed, locked out elbows? Are upper arms tight to side of pecks or on top? Hands low or high causing toe up or toe down on the club, how this effect direction and shot shape. Only need help with a few things......... Keep up the amazing content!!! You guys are the best golf you tube has to offer!!!!

Going back to fundamentals, can you talk about posture and how far/close you should stand away from the ball in your setup. This is probably an amateurish question but everyone is built differently and that might help with rotation on the backswing.

Love this! For draw, I don’t like how so many instructors use bottles or tees or alignment sticks in your takeaway/path When all you need to do is close your stance and swing down line of your feet. I get it when you are way over the top to learn how to swing in to out, but why not give yourself more room in your swing with that closed stance?! Bravo, thanks for the advice!

Brad, you're missing a cleat my guy. Stingers are an interesting shot to hear people talk about. I've seen Tiger talk about them and Tiger talks about not being steep at all with the stinger. He wants to come through with a shallow AOA and low dynamic loft to minimize the spin loft but a lot of guys teach them by coming in steep. I guess as long as the end result matches what you want out of it lol.

I found another easy way to hook the ball would be take your right hand and put it almost a under hand grip, when you go to hit on your down swing you will naturally rotate your wrists causing the club face to close and boom huge hook.

What about loft in relation to the shape? Would that be something to address in a more actual playing situation? Meaning that you can take a higher lofted club when hooking a shot than you'd think and get the distance due to delofting that usually happens when drawing/hooking a ball. Or at least so think, I'm not a pro by any means. :D
@braddalkegolf

Yes if I’m delofting and shutting the face I will usually take a club or two less to account for the loft change!

How do you combat a straight draw? Or what could be causing it. Its been creeping in to my game. Ball starts straight--directly at the target but then draws about 15yrdsedt of target (over draw) Is it swing path is to inside and club face is square to target?
@braddalkegolf
@braddalkegolf 10 ай бұрын
Sounds like it’s probably a little bit of both. Too much closed face with the clubface and slightly too in to out. You might try weakening your grip just slightly and see if that helps anything!

Work on getting your weight to your lead side like WAY sooner than you think. I was having the same problem for this last month, and just got on a monitor and I was delivering a ton more loft than usual. I tend to stay on trail side too long and after tinkering with what I needed to do trying to mess with a bunch of variables, I remembered the early landing on lead side and it fixed everything. Basically, for me, I feel like when I shift my weight to my trail foot to initiate the back swing, I feel like I'm using it to push my whole body towards the target, then as soon as I fully land on my lead side, it's just turn and go. It moves the low point of the swing forward substantially, which in turn forces you to present much less loft and you'll compress the ball way way better.

Make sure at set up you are not slightly aimed to the right, and/or, the right arm is very much lower than the lead left arm. And I assure you 90% of golfers would prefer that hook to a big slice.
