GoPro Karma fixing the pairing issue on a board with a missing FB36 pad

I was sent this board to fix and it was missing the pad on the left-hand side for the FB36. This isn't an issue as we just need to pull out 3.3 volts to power the SD and the probe from somewhere else.

I think with 30 minutes I could teach you how its done. There are some soldering basics but the rest is follow he bouncing ball.

Mate this is a real hope for my drone. I still have bouts of anger at GoPro for the stitch up! Do you fix these if i sent you my drone? I would pay of course. I live on Flinders Island in bass straight, do you live anywhere near..... like Melbourne...ish. i completely understand if you don't feel like doing this kind of work it looks complicated. Im a simple farmer. I can fix a skid steer, but this is just too much 😂. Fantastic video mate

No you cant, the drone will not arm and you will get errors.

When booting with SD card, Jumping to entry point at 0x81080000. will be displayed and will stop. Please tell me the cause and solution.

I booted it from the SD card and got to the point where I was reading the uImage file, but a reading error occurred with the fatload command and it stopped at the u-boot command prompt. Also, I'm concerned that file format information such as FAT is not displayed using the mmcinfo command. It's quite difficult.

Come over to the Discord server, you will be able to post pictures of where it got to and there are several people that can help. discord.gg/wGVdWPpkua From the sound of it you might just want to hold the problem on TP1 until you get to the login screen. I have seen a couple times where its like the SD just cant be read any more when I take it off before that point.

I own two aircraft that have stopped flying after updating the firmware on the aircraft (the stabilizer does not work, the power switch LED sometimes blinks and does not stop). I tried booting from the SD card on these two machines, but there was no change at all on one machine. Both machines are in the same condition, but why doesn't one of them even boot into SD? It's quite difficult.

I’m missing the fb36 right pad. Is there anywhere else I can use to jump to boot from SD?

The fb36 pins supply power to the SD card slot, if you built your own board you can take power from pin 1 of the jtag and apply it directly to the 3.3 volt pin on the sd card board. If you have an arm board with an sd card slot already on it you can power it by adding a wire to one of the caps or the connector for the arm board (both of these are tricky due to the size of the components). It would be worth coming over to our discord server and looking under the important pictures channel, there are about 4 or 5 pictures on how to wire the board. what board are you using to connect to the drone from the pc?

Its a USB to serial connector, Im not sure what one I used in the video ( I have a couple).
