i have this i'm swatching them with waffle flower swatch stamps ! so much fun warming me up, to move onto a couple projects i've got going i seriously like the arteeza i have higher end gouache that i love too,but i am loving these too half swatch out of tube and then mixed with white , quite happy so far

jawara blake are you liking the watercolors? I’m not sure they’re THAT much different than those, the only big difference are the metallics

@@studioxjess I really like the water colors. There are so many I was overwhelmed. The metallics are trippy. I'm making a video about them.

Love that you made that black background as a base because it really showed how much opacity these paints have and honestly I wasn't aware that Arteza's gouache paints were THAT opaque! I also always thought gouache typically dries a darker shade so it was so... mesmerizing to watch those colors dry down much brighter :O May I ask, what was the ratio of water you used for this demo? It kinda looks like you used some of the colors straight from the tube.

toiletteregina hello! You’re right about all of the above. They are surprisingly bright, and I did end up using most of them straight from the tube. I basically only wet my brush before I dipped into the tube and used the palette to sort of mix the brush water with the paint. Had I used more water they would not be this opaque for sure.

It's been a while since I've used gouache. Great review and a nice demo. I agree those are a lot of colors, but they would make a great set to try out different color sets.

I noticed that you were using them straight from the tube for the most part. How do they do when you reactivate them once they’ve dried on your palette?

Natalie Carrasco hello! Honestly the palette was a bad idea. They don’t reactive very well when they dry, so I wouldn’t recommend making a palette like I did if you go with these
