@@JohnDoe-nt1sv Not really though. At Roma he was fired in 9th place but only 5 points behind top 4 after a run of games that included, Napoli, Juve, Atalanta, AC Milan and Fiorentina. They have 3 winnable games in a row now. The first De Rossi won against Verona and they are suddenly back in contention. This is all with a very small squad of quality players. They dealt with that run of games with a few of them away at AFCON as well.. They have about 20 top players max but we all know in modern football, that doesnt get you close over a long season. By Late March they are spent. Last year they were dead on their feet from the quarter final of Europa league. They had a mountain of injuries. Thats partly due to Jose being a winner and he would not compromise Europe or the league, so they played themselves into the ground. He then scraped together a team and got past Leverkusen in the semi final. A 0-0 away was classic Jose. At the time he was slated for it but this year goes to show what a team they are and he got them through that semi final with a rag tag bunch of players at about 50% fit. To get robbed in the final like they did. what was it, the 82 min and that is a clear and obvious handball. Taylor is a disgrace to football and it robbed Roma of a truly remarkable story. 2 European wins in 2 years and CL qualification. The thing that has kept Roma in this mess is FFP restrictions due to how the club operated in the last owners management. Thats what Taylor took away from Jose, a CL budget and this year they would have been pushing for the Serie A title. All ruined by one bald cnut.

no villainy there. What he said to Taylor is heroism. The game comes first. Not the whims of some criminals disguised as refs. Mourinho was coach of roma... A club in the same league which was PROVEN to be riddled with match fixing and corrupt referee decisions. PROVEN. If the media acts like that doesn't and cannot happen like Jim and Simon do... then it is a dead giveaway that it happens. In any walk of life, wether it is politics or media or movies in hollywood... Those you are not allowed to criticise are doing untoward things. Always. Mourinho isn't just fighting for his own hide when he attacks referees... He is a fan first of all. He is fighting for football. He has worked in the sport and he has seen how things are. He knows the truth well. In italy media personalities were spied on by the police and were found out to defend referee mistakes as instructed by the corrupt Moggi and others. The same thing happens in england. It is naive to think that it doesn't.

People can say what they want about Jose Mourinho but it wouldn't shock or surprise me if he goes on to win another Champions League before he's done as a manager. He will go down as one of the greatest head coaches ever and rightly so as well.

I'm not saying the behaviour from Mourinho was good, it wasn't, but maybe it's time we move on from an argument in a car park. Maybe if we remembered racism and object throwing in the stands like we have remembered this car park incident, we would have less of it? Yes or no? I never watched the match with Antony Taylor, but generally, people don't flip out and seek people out unless major fuckery was done. Judging by what people said about Antony Talor (who is a useless referee by the way from the matches I've seen him officiate), Mourinho had grounds for wanting a word with him. I am by no means a Mourinho fan, his talent ID was never that good. Putting this out there before I get called a fanboy; I'm not.

Jose was right to be upset about the Europa League Final. It was the wrong call. As always, refs don't have to answer for their decisions. Referee played the victim card instead of publicly stating that he'd missed a call and then "retired".

Sharing a birthday with Mourinho (January 26), I can identify with some of the idiosyncrasies of his personality! However, Brendan Rogers was born on the same day, and on the surface, he seems to be a more sedate and serious type of person; so, you can't generalize. Maybe managing a national team might suit him better at this stage of his life. I wonder if anyone would vote for Mourinho to become next England manager, he certainly has plenty of PL experience?

There is no evidence he attacked Taylor, he only showed his displeasure on the pitch for all the wrong calls. I don't know why people keep parroting this same lie he attacked Taylor. Funny you don't mention OR are unaware of the fact, that the squad was trimmed by 3/4 with some of the Primavera (U19s) having to fill in on the bench that 1st year with much of the budget already allotted and most of the rest left having to replace Dzeko(left) and Spinna(injury) late in the transfer window. Then the owners decided to sign FFP Agreement which meant future promised spending didn't occur having to depend on free transfers and low cost loan deals. You saw the Roma fans still supporting the man, banners and chanting his song during the following match after his dismissal denouncing the ownership and many of the players, understanding the situation he was placed in AND YET still made club history reaching consecutive European finals winning one and the other stolen. So the game ratio MEANS NOTHING to the intelligent Roma fans.

More Manager's should have a go at ref's for poor and blatantly wrong decisions on the field. They have VAR and they still make the sh*t decisions on the Field.
