In 1978, I worked at an outdoor theater. A midnight train ran behind the theater on the weekends. This song really resonated with me on those nights. Graham Parker is the holy ghost in my trinity of favorite musical artists.

The world will never be right if that never happens. Can you believe Joan Jett is in? And not the Replacements? Though this Graham song is mediocre. His best songs are Between You and Me (Best Demo ever) Discovering Japan Nobody Hurts You You've got to be kidding Heat Treatment Pourin it all out back door love That's what they all say Mona lisa sister White Honey And the lesser know but still great Call Me your doctor (really great) I'm Just Your Man (beautiful) And It Shook Me Sharpening Axes Temporary Beauty.

My favorite Parker tune. Anyone who grew up in, or has found themselves stuck in a horrible, nowhere town, can relate to this tune. A great version of this tune!

1979 Glasgow Apollo sensational best live band I’ve ever seen an d I’ve seen all the heavy weights I remember they said it was the greatest audience they ever played too it was a magical evening I ran all the way to the front and started dancing with a girl next I look round and their are hundreds of people dancing the place was buzzing after that they where on fire one of the greatest nights of my life I didn’t want it to end as the song say a endless night

I saw Graham Parker & the Rumour when they toured Australia with a 4 piece horn section. Brilliant. I''m still disappointed that they didn't tour Australia in the 2010's.

Oh, my God! I have been wondering for decades if this extremely important station still existed.As a teenager in the late seventies it introduced me to the sex pistols,the Ramones,Iggy pop,and most importantly,the clash.This station saved the mindset of a confused and angry kid.I'm better now,but thanks for keeping up the good works.

Yep, non-commercial WFUV 90.7 in NYC has showcased great rock and folk music for well over 50 years. They had on-air talent who moved over to the progressive commercial FM giants WABC FM (WPLJ) and WNEW FM … and in some cases back again to WFUV when the commercial playlists became way too restrictive once ownership smelled the ad revenue.

Big Tall Martin Belmont on lead at the 4:00 mark. Saw Graham Parker going back to the late 70's in So Cal and at the Roxy in the Reunion Tour. The Rumour and Graham what a Band and Songwriter...YES HALL OF FAME
