the Rumour are one of the finest band to come out in 80's musical trail...and obviously Graham Parker...he's a Sam Cooke with a British twist! stellar!

I saw that when it first aired in 1980. The other song they sung was Stupefaction. He also participated in a skit.

Brinsley and Martin Belmont were a killer guitar combo. While BS played the lead most often, MB was no slouch and sometimes handled the solos. Sadly GP dumped the Rumour after this album, chasing stardom for a few flaccid albums. Saw him the next year with the next collection of musicians. Best material wasn't the new stuff.

@@robertdilullo6765 That's a great comment. Graham Parker,Joe Jackson, and Elvis Costello through'82 were so good that there are no adequate words to describe them. Who the hell has even come close musically, and lyrically? The only other one who started at that time since is Paul Weller, that has at least 10 albums of great stuff. I think Beck is terrific, a musical genius, yet he doesn't come within a country mile as an equal songwriter.

By the way...Pretty sure it's the Roku (Shout TV) that are all 3 seasons of this show. I was watching a few days ago for free.

Incendiary. One of the best rock n roll bands there were at this time. Fridays was mediocre but for their choice of music.

Yes..he's way too gut level honest to ever get much radio exposure. And smart ass critics call him sarcastic,how about consistently brilliant...
