Drone footage of some of the resorts in the south of Gran Canaria.
Peurto de Mogan is a beautiful fishing village set at the mouth of a steep-sided valley on the south west coast. Sometimes dubbed the Little Venice of Gran Canaria, the harbour area features Italian style architecture and beautiful walkways edged with fish restaurants.
Meloneras sits to the west of the poplar resort of Maspalomas. Featuring several high end hotels, the resort has a more laid back feel and access to the Playa de Meloneras and also beaches at the famous dunes. There are plenty of restaurants at Playa de Meloneras as well as the beautiful beach and crystal clear water.
Pasito Blanco is a private estate and harbour on the south coast. It has a small, but very nice sheltered beach which is accessible by parking and walking outside the gate. When we were there there was a boat capsized just off the beach which was an added feature. La Punta restaurant is here which offers lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and a private sun lounger area for patrons.
Arguineguin is an older resort further up the coast towards Peurto Rico. It has 2 lovely beaches to enjoy as well as a working fishing harbour. More traditional in style, the waterfront areas have several restaurants which are very busy - booking essential!
