Thanks again Clare your footage has always been a great help so meny roads now coming off the old sandy lane the cronical and echo saying opening 28th June unless I read it wrong and that the it has taken so long partly due to unauthorised development dont understand that as why was the council not checking and signing off developments off roads at stages also such a shame about the plant nursery there has been a business there for a very long time years and should be compensated as should duston and harpole which wouldn't happen but why put the council tax up again should have left it as was for 2024 the whole thing has been a disaster a lesson on how not to negotiate with developers

Sure an article on line from the BBC about sandy lane thay said it probably won't open until June its all seems very strange whats going on first its on open due to a disputed bit of private land now saying about the developers finishing the road to nowhere none of which should affect reopening sandy lane thay can continue to dispute the private land the road to nowhere has been like it is for the last fifteen years or thay say it needs safety checks the developers gave a time for opening so should have done safety checks before that date so what is really going on all a bit strange

I know, will be interesting to know where the lorries for Lodge Farm are meant to go without this being joined up. I did hear a rumour that the 'Road to Nowhere' is not built on stable ground, but that has not been confirmed. I really think we need a better solution to this. No one wants to live next door to a road with thundering lorries going by.
@carolinebrown20195 ай бұрын
Great video- they aren’t joining the road / was never in the plan - if you look closely on the plan’s there is a line across where it looks like it joins . When road at Berrywood Rd / new sandy lane roundabout opens then vehicles will go down new road towards Harpole & then rejoin the original old Sandy lane just above the new housing estate & back down to Kislingbury roundabout 😮
@clarebabes5 ай бұрын
Thanks Caroline, it absolutely makes no sense that the roads aren't joined up. As I said on the Spotted Duston post, I feel the residents of the new houses at the bottom of Sandy Lane have possibly been mislead. No one wants lorries thundering past their front door. @@carolinebrown2019

If you look closer, those are horrible, little, ugly houses with disgusting small and weird shaped back gardens. Everything is squeezed in small spaces to use every inch of terrain at cost of buyers, who will have to deal with it. Everything according to the saying "build cheap, sell expensive". Looking at this development I can bet all my money, they build from the cheapest possible quality materials, bought in bulk in Eastern Europe, or China, and sell houses at the highest possible price. They'll offer you a "huge discount", but if you'll look closer, it will turn out, you are still overpaying by thousands of pounds. This developer deserves the worst fame. Now you can hate me👍
