Gran Canaria - El Bufadero de La Garita

2 жыл бұрынOn the East Coast of Gran Canaria lies the Bufadero de la Garita, which is located between Playa de La Garita and Playa El Hombre beaches in the city of Telde. The natural blow hole effect is produced by a complex of “basalt prismatic figures” that has an underwater hollowness made by a volcanic tube which fires the water trapped inside up into the air. In this video we share with you our stop at this astonishing site and then a nice walk down the promenade to Playa de La Garita.

Blowholes are typical in volcanic areas around the coast. I'm from Tenerife. Blowholes are NOT to be taken lightly. Even though some of them invite for a swim, it is very dangerous, as the the currents can change quickly and dramatically in which case you'll be in a lot of trouble if you're in. Many people have lost their lives in them. Nice vid, by the way.

I agree - the currents are very dangerous and will suck you out and under in a second - then it’s to late
