Thank you for all the great info, we are heading there next week for our first time, last year we stayed in playa De Carmen. I am bringing my teenage kids with me this time. This will be their first time in the Caribbean. We are very excited. I did have one question regarding the views We are booked for a master suite Ocean view. I was wondering what this ocean view is is this right by the ocean or I notice in some of the videos and pictures that you can technically see the ocean but you’re farther back into the resort. Would you happen to know if the ocean view is a front? Thanks again for all your great information.

Thanks for watching and commenting. You’ll have a great time. Ocean view generally means you’re in buildings that are in the “front” half of the complex, those closest to the ocean. Looking out of your balcony you basically have to turn to the right to see it…but you can see it. Beachfront rooms, which are the premium views have balconies that look straight into the ocean. I hope this makes sense!

Thank you for sharing. We own at Royal Sands & Royal hacienda. We listen to presentations last year. We want to go and check it out. Agree about changes already went through that with Royal Sands. It was exclusive when we first bought and then after hurricane Wilma in 2005 everything changed. So you recommend getting the All inclusive at GR? In Cancun there is lots restaurants near the Royal sands we like to go to. So we don't do the all inclusive and food isn't as good as it used to be to be in the beginning. My pleasure Bonnie, thanks so much for watching and commenting! You can definitely cook easy enough but otherwise you’re driving into Puerto Morelos to eat. Breakfast alone would cost $25 per person so you can quickly find the value of AI at Grand Residences. I sat with some owners that do half the week All Inclusive, stock pile food and drinks and then don’t buy the rest of their days. Kind of smart. How do you like Haciendas?

The Hacienda is actually my mom's property and went the first time in October. I like the sands better because of the beach is beautiful. We own in Oct so we are there week 41. We will be trying out Villa Del Palmar 42, 43. We decided to bank the Hacienda the food was just ok. Dinner place was over priced. I'm also involved with new Travel company that I'm going to book my own cruise and flights I can benefit from booking my own trips that are not part of a timeshare. We live in San Diego,Ca but we like oceans in Caribbean beaches. Best Cruise we have been on was Crystal cruise line 10 days in Caribbean with a butler. Great Food and service. We got a great Deal and it was our 25th anniversary!

After being at GR it will be hard to find somewhere else that will compare. A lot more people. They are adding on to the GR so that will change things for sure. More people to service.

@@bonnieromano-xe6zy I know they claimed to have plans for the second phase when we were there in April but I thought that stopped with the sale to Holiday Inn. They told us new furniture in April (last year) and they would start building phase 2 last July. Both appeared to be lies

Crystal is supposed to be an amazing cruise line! I’m a Royal Caribbean guy but next month we hit Norwegian for my daughter’s senior trip. I’m already not in love with the cruise line, the ship, and their technology…wish us luck!

Odd, I left a comment yesterday but don't see it now on the video. I was also wondering about tipping - if you tip on a charge receipt, does it go to that person or into a shared pot?

Wow Mark. That's a great question. I'm hate to say it but I'm doubtful that it goes to that person. Hmmmm...I have to think about how i can get a straight answer to that question without asking them. More to come!
