Grant's Cancer Survival Story: Beating Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

11 жыл бұрынIn the spring of 2009, Grant McTaggart began his fight against Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a condition in which less than 50% of those inflicted survive. Following diagnosis, Grant began an arduous 32 months of grueling chemotherapy treatment at Texas Children's Cancer Center. With assistance of multiple therapies and the clinical trial of a drug, Gleevec®, he gradually recovered. His last round of chemotherapy was August of 2012. Thanks to Texas Children's Cancer Center, Grant is now living the life of a healthy six-year-old kindergartener.He loves baseball and spending time with his best friend and resilient big sister, Claire.

Had that same cancer and got at the age of 6 and I was a hours a way from dying. let me tell you he is strong. And is gonna do great things. Hopefully gonna become a Marine biologist. And knowing that I could of died. Make life better/worst. Because that means I'm powerful.
