Some of those reviews are downright sad, some people GENUINELY defend this slop of a game release. No wonder the quality of games have dropped, the customerbase became dumber and dumber, meaning the developers can afford to put less and less effort and still get morons to buy it and get it to Steam's top seller category.

@@zWORMzGaming I think the problem is that UE5 lends itself well to the type of dev who doesn't really know how or cares to optimize their game. Usually they just want to hype up the game with flashy graphics and use the Quixel assets with absurd texture resolutions and poly counts. I bet most of them don't even use the optimization views to see how overdraw, occlusion culling, LOD levels, light overlaps, etc. are affecting performance.

Guys, before you say "RTX 4060 is an L card" or whatever, remember your GTX 1080 Ti gets destroyed in this game too, same with RTX 3060 or any card equivalent, someone even said their RTX 4070 Ti Super gets destroyed

@@BruceWayngei have a 4070 Ti, i can see it getting wrecked in 4K without upscaling. Yeah it has 4gb of vram less but its still 12 and its barely slower in terms of raw performance. UE5 is hella intense and honestly, kinda shit. Like put all Nvidia hate aside and from an actual game dev perspective these games are way harder to run compared to how they actually good it looks. Idk. UE5 just doesnt seem like a good engine tomorrow or it devs are seriously dropping the ball with optimization. Or both honestly

Missing the point....the point is the 4060 is a L card for its architecture and price. Tiny ass bus width, 8gb VRAM, slower than 3060Ti. For reference, the 3060Ti beat the 2080 Super. That's how bad the 4060 is. It's basically a 2080.

Investing in one of these lower--end Nvidia cards is accepting a permanent pairing with DLSS, they intend you to use it every time it is available for the Nvidia experience. If you do not like the appearance of upscaling, then there is no point in getting a 60 class Nvidia card over the alternatives.

Thats true, but the point is that it should not be that way, and normally isn't. But this kind of game to be fair in pvp, all players has to have the same level for the fight to be fair, and thats why this games dont really allow removal of the high density vegetaion and environment props, if its suppouse to block vision or to be a collider it has to be the same for all players. WIch make's optimization almost not possible beyond certain point. I mean normally in a single player game it would include an option to set the draw distance and density for vegetation and other visual elements that when lowered improve performance entry level systems. Thats why competitive games usually has lower quality graphics since the begining, but this kind of games extraction shooters and similars, have a big focus on immersion since the goal is to provide a tactical warfare simulation. Still i believe this games can be optimized, they just dont want to spend the money on it. I mean for example fortnite did something, wich is provide a diferent api wich a diferent set of shaders, wich is the performance mode that run in a lower dx environment. Thats what could help this kind of game, and what the community of them should ask for.

So what, I use dlss where available even on my 4070ti. Dlss quality at 1440p is indistinguishable to my eye, I even think some look better with dlss on because a lot of games use very blurry forced TAA.

@@mrbobgamingmemes9558 Well thats one of the ideas, and the fact is that as far as i know UE5 even provide a tool for that, ¿was it nanite?. Before this type of technologys where in place the dev would have to redo all assets with low polygon count wich can be a massive load of work. Thats what i was thinking when i wrote the comment, but nanite is another thing. Lowered polygon count with some kind of shader bundle or api focused on performance would improve performance by a lot.

I currently have an rtx 3080 and i was trying to increase my fps using other upscaling methods and while frs with frame generation gets me 100+ fps, it has noticeable input lag for me. I was mainly using DLSS balanced or performance but now i'm finding TSR to run quite well with no input lag.

4070 is definitely worth it over the 4060ti, try to get that 👍 Or even better, the 4070 Super is usually around 50$ more than the 4070 and it's 20% faster. I think it's the best value of the 40 series.

Ultra settings used to be for future hardware or the highest end. Of course the game should be running well on a new low/mid range card at medium and a low resolution.

The Forza horizon games have a different engine which is internal so you can't really compare it to this game cause Playground games won't allow you to use it without any sort of partnership. Even then, I doubt that engine can handle a first person shooter like this one, you'd have to change the whole engine to make it happen and it might not even run that well.

have you thought of pairing 4060 with some low-mid-range cpu? i mean realistically if you have a top of the line cpu like yours, youre not gonna be using 4060 with it...
