I pray to the Father in the name of the Son. It is written. Jesus is in the Father and the Father in the Son. The 2 are 1 and the Holy Spirit,the 3 in one carries out the plan in the name of Jesus whose name is above every other name.

@@matthewbulger5876 It was his last TV appearance. His health was fine, until it was discovered a short time after that he had a tumor of the heart. They removed it in early January of 1979, but he died a week or so afterwards (January 16, 1979) from sudden complications.

Even though the story line has diversions the most remarkable and correct thing it does do is use God's name Jehovah.

I was an extra in this film shot in Utah in 1978 when I was 14 years old! I can see myself in a couple of shots. I've got some great stories about this experience. One interesting thing is that about half of the extras were Navajo Indians but they usually put the white people up front and the Navajos in the back. Even though the Navajos probably looked much more like a "Biblical Era Middle Easterner" they stuck us Whiteys and the blond, blue eyed Mormons towards the front and the Indians as far back as possible. This film was the last stop of washed up actors from the 50's and 60's before they faded into complete obscurity, someone should do a damn book about it, it was so sooooo low budget but there were some pretty well known people in it too.

@@4A4FR33 Funny thing, I went on a river trip with him before I even worked on the film. He was an egotistical douchebag, just like you'd expect. but not all the actors were like that. I don't think he was Mormon, it was a Mormon production company and many of the extras were Mormon too.

Please please please if ever anyone wants to create a bible story movie, follow exactly the narration and story of the bible. There are so many scenes wrong about the movie and the story out of context. No matter how sincere the thought may be, either u do it right or don't even bother because it is misleading to the viewers who have not read the bible. So at least get your facts right and not trying to twist the story just to make a movie... 1. In the first place it was Saul who sent for David and not David seeking to see Saul. 2. David went to the brook to choose 5 smooth stones and not on the way down to the valley. 3) David was never injured by Goliath. 4) Adner only came into the scene after David go out to meet Goliath. And Saul ask him who is David. 5) Adner did not scheme with Saul to make a diversion by using David as a scapegoat. 6) Saul only gave David the go ahead to fight Goliath after he hears about the confidence David has in the Lord about how he kills the lion and the bear while tending his father's sheep. And not because of any diversion story that you come up with in the movie. 7) The movie shows David as a scared young boy when facing Goliath and even while talking to Saul but the bible shows David a young boy with full of confidence in the Lord.

Andrew Tan its okey this is interesting and good movie especially when i heard the trumpet and david speaks to goliath dont bother much almost knows the story of David and Goliath or even me i know exactly whats in the bible but when i watch this movie although its not completed im blessed again its give me some reminders reflection in our daily lives.

Behold the Real Truth... What was the last thing Goliath saw, when David Knocked him down & severed his head? The "Rock!" What will be the first thing Goliath will see, when he is resurrected & judged for having sharpened the Spiritual Sword of Israel against his oppression? The Real "Rock!" The Rock of our Salvation. The Rock, which, like that one of the five smooth stones from the riverbed was not fashioned from the hand of man, But from the creation of God. Why then, did David select those 5 smooth stones, when it had only taken 1 to knock Goliath down, in order to sever his head? We shall have to ask David ourselves when we greet him in the resurrection. Personally i believe that David saw 4 more Giants standing in the front lines of the Philistines & figured blood is thicker than water. For they too, might come forward to take up Goliath's challenge to the Israelite's. for Goliath had A Father & 3 brothers who too were giants that were later killed by David's men. i'll leave it your curious hands to do the scriptural research... i am convinced of it. "Before" the beginning there was nothing at all. No space, no time, no matter/energy/particles/field, etc. what have you. Only after God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter/energy) there was chaos and the earth was still formless. That was the beginning!

David was from the tribe of Judah, not an Ephraimite. Ephraim and Manasseh were the 2 half tribes that were the sons born to Joseph in Egypt and were given their father's inheritance for Jacob. Also, Saul couldn't be nearly as old as portrayed here. He chased his son-in-law, David all over the countryside for years in an attempt to kill him. Not exactly note worthy. I just wanted to correct this minor mistake.

Yes, but I like the Idea the film gives. It doesn't contradict the biblical account, but it does a great job of explaining why Israel would send David on a suicide mission, and why a war broke out immediately after. Great film
