This is awesome! Where I live we don't actually have these guys outside but they're sold in pet stores for like 5-10 bucks and sadly people often get them as throwaway pets and put zero effort into care and don't even look online or consult anybody on proper care, so it was really heartwarming to see someone not only rescue one from outside but also to put all this effort to keep him comfy, safe, and with all the amenities needed! I agree on how a lot of communities have tons of trolls, like the reptile community. I have a leopard gecko and just got myself a green anole which was going to be sold as a feeder lizard, but now he's a pet, and also have other non-reptile pets and it can be really annoying and also just generally terrifying when they start screaming at people for no reason or acting like they were never just starting out

Im new at this also. My child always like anoles. Its been getting chilly at night. Last week. When i stand outside waiting for the bus With my kids. I saw this green alone just laying there. I went to see if she was ok. She looked at me and i could grab her. So i took her in and put her in a 10 gallon to warm her up. I ready had the lights and ect. Because i have a turtle also. ( water turtle) now this green anole is in a 30 gallon tall reptile aquarium. With lots of plants and everything. Shes in my childs room. She sprays the aquarium 2 times a day and she likes talking to her❤ . I love your video.

I absolutely love reptiles!!! I had a Bearded Dragon and he is actually the reason I got into plants. When he passed away I hated how empty the cabinet where I kept his tank on was. I bought a couple of plants to put on it and the rest is history. I love what you are doing to help this little guy 💚🌿💚🦎

I just set up an anole enclosure too, i got a 40 gallon for free and I bought a door from i-heart geckos, you can get a door from them for cheap and turn your 10gal upright. Since the anoles are aboreal they dig height vs length. You did a great job with the stick and live plants. They would prefer mist on the leaves vs a water bowl though. Though I had to drill through the glass on the 40 gal to have a UV bulb. So youre enclosure is just fine, maybe you would dig a misting system as time goes on, which I found a mistking on craigslist for cheap. Thats another way to save money on upgrading the buggers enclosure is to keep an eye out on craigslist for people getting out of the hobby. Ty for sharing.

You always look so happy no matter what you are doing.... it is a wonderful trait to have. Winter camping and hiking are great. You must be prepared for it but it fun if done right. Research & maybe start in your backyard. But it really doesn’t look all that cold there.

You did a great job, he went from scavenging to survive to living in luxury accommodation overnight lol I don’t know which lizard species this applies to, but for bearded dragons my friend has both a water dish to chill in (cause they like to go in the water) and a little suspended sippy bottle.

Aww that's so sweet of you.Them little boogers scared the hell of out me every summer.They like hiding in my plants when I put them outside they are beautiful and they good babysitter when they come out to sun bath.They keep my Yorkies business all summer long they are my babies.They send me to the hospital for heart attack keep jump out the pot when I water.Smh.

I have a green anole that lives in my plants outdoor. I want to capture it and get it like a $300 tank so it lives long.

I’m not sure that you will see this but I live in north GA , it is very cold right now . I work in a bank and I found an Anole in the room with the safe deposit boxes . He was very lethargic and had apparently been there for Atleast 2 months . I picked him up and brought him home because I think it it’s too cold for him to find a safe place to hibernate ( not to mention I’ve seen Skanks but never in anole in North Georgia). I got a tank and I put live plants in a bunch of things for him to jump on and water I got crickets and mealworms. I sprayed the tank as soon as I got it set up and he was very thirsty and dehydrated he drank for a long time. I’ve had them in the tank for three days but he hasn’t eaten yet does he just need to settle in before he eats? Or Maybe he is too scared being in a cage that he won’t eat until he dies? I imagine he hasn’t eaten in at least 2 to 3 months because we do not have any bugs in our bank for him to eat. Any suggestions would be helpful I just I’m trying to help him until it’s warm enough for me to set him free but I don’t want him to die in the meantime.

Your plants should be in potting soil that has everything natural. I would make sure there are no fertilizer pellets or other engineered additives. I have a Florida room full of plants and anoles. It’s like a circus. We leave our outside door open for our dog so anoles come and go. Lots and lots of babies so I think they are laying eggs in the pots.

I'm just saying that these green Anoles are native to America. The brown ones are not. I will not feed the brown ones at all. I have been known to go to PetCo to get meal worms and crickets to feed the green ones in my yard
