Specifically, this trend is related to what is commonly referred as "red flag" issues. In common language, a red flag issue is a warning of a danger or problem. For a USCIS marriage green card interview, this means an indicator that something may be amiss in an immigrant's efforts to become a green card holder and win a grant of permanent residence.
These issues emerge through inquiries at government investigation and immigration interviews.
Inquiries designed to pull out details subtly related to marriage interview questions that are outside the direct scope of adjustment of status applications.
In recent months, such lines of questioning have become more common - to an astute observer, but not to most immigrants and their spouses - in their brave new world marriage based green card interview covid 19 style.

My interview was very smooth and simple. All I was asked is to tell how my wife and I met, and then we had to verify the information submitted on the forms to ensure the answers we had on form was what we intended to put there.

Hello Sir, I have a doubt. I got married to my wife who is a USC in Dec-2019. We filed our application in Aug-2020. Till today I have submitted my biotmetrics. We are yet to get our EAD and SSN. My doubt is if my interview comes after Dec-2021 that is in 2022, will we be eligible for a 10 year green card as we will be married for more than 2 years then? I would appreciate if you can reply. I am confused by your comments. I think you might be overlapping cetain issues, which do not require such overlapping. Good luck!

I hope by now you would have been approved, but if not, once you are approved and your date of marriage is 2 yrs or more from the approval date, you will be granted a 10yr green card.

HI, ITS SAJJAL I was forced by my family to marriage a US citizen . I was threatened to be killed . Now he is applied for the spouse visa I am in Pakistan and dont wanna go to USA be cause this is all forced . What if I tell the truth at my visa interview in my country that the marriage is forced and I dnt wanna come to USA . I want that they permanently restrict me from going to USA so that I can get divorce from this horrible relation. Thank you
