While the shoal of Green Chromis in the 17g Drop-off tank are doing fantastic, the ones added to the 45g did not fare well. Here is the second attempt at adding 3 Chromis to the 45g, this time with fish from my trust local PetCo (no sarcasm, btw).

I'm with you man. I have also bought fish from PetCo aswell as my local fish stores. The fishes that have survived (5) were all from PetCo.

I've actually really had good luck with saltwater fish from my PetCo too. I did have a PetCo fish disaster in my freshwater tank but my PetCo's saltwater fish is pretty solid. I can't wait to see the video of catching the tang. So sorry that you miss it!

Hey Heidi, I had a Yellow Tail Damsel from Petco wipe out Project FOWLR a few months ago. I am the one to blame of course. If you look at some of my older live streams, most of that livestock has perished. I learned my lesson and now I quarantine in a 20 gallon in my laundry room treated with Cupramine.

Sean's Aquaria yeah, I'm thinking that might be why I've had good luck with their marine fish because I qt. But I didn't qt that FW fish. I can't imagine how upset I'd be if it were my SW tank!

Hey its Michael kirby you were right the hammer stung my torch ! I move it on the other side of the tank ! The torch coral has 7 heads on it and it got one head ! do you think it will come back ? the rest of the torch looks untouched !

Without knowing too much about these guys, just from seeing the way they feed in the water column makes me feel that they eat plankton throughout the day, so I try to feed them at least 3x a day. It usually ends up being 5x+ since every time I walk by the tank I just could not resist throwing a little flake in...

I actually picked up this system used from another reef club member. The dimension is 24"x24"x18" (should be a pretty standard footprint)

I have good luck with putting the Frogspawn higher up (acclimate them to the intensity though), I also feed them mixed frozen food with the pump off... may help with growth!

Mokyi, nice vid! We should meet up sometime and talk shop? Maybe you can SWAP me some of your frags and I can return the favor to others when they propagate? My Filefish wiped out all the aptasia in my 64 gallon Project Cubal and I picked up a few frags at the WAMAS Spring Meeting. CJ's, Rico's, Kevin's and Mad Dogz' live streams have been a lot of fun and educational for me. I highly recommend if you aren't checking them out, you do so immediately!

Yes Arowana originally came from our place you can even fish them out from some bodys of waters right over in west malaysia

Even in the streets people with freshwater fishstore have at least one to two Arowana display sitting around all the time..
