One of the biggest problems of finding a Catholic spouse is that the community in many parishes is dead. After mass within 5 minutes virtually everyone is gone. And of those who stay they are largely middle aged to elderly. Very few young adults. I say this from experience in both TLM and Novus Ordo parishes although it is slightly better in the TLM but that isn’t saying much. St Raphael Pray for us.

I understand your struggle to the t. It's not easy for young Catholics to find community. However, you see a problem and you have the opportunity to do something about it! I saw the same problem at my parish and chose to start a young adult large group community doing all sorts of social things. Though it's taken some time, it's become quite fruitful. By no means is this meant to be an attack, but all too often we see problems at our parish and fail to take any action. I encourage you to be a leader! Praying for you

Honestly this video really helped me. Recently I seemed to only focus on possible redflags with my potential wife. But this video showed me that she is basically fulfilling every single green flag. Thank you for the wake up call

These are all super important. Here's some additional ones of mine -they are able to work through problems and also on themselves and on the relationship -gentleness, and the way you speak to each other is healthy, no belittling, constant sarcasm etc - fights and disagreements happen in a respectful and healthy way, they aren't avoided, and the focus is on the specific issue at hand, not blown our of proportion -they practice their faith, and the way they do that is generally compatible with how you practice the faith. You pray together. -you can have deep conversations and feel safe sharing things that feel vulnerable, they have actually earned trust over time -you have had conversations about important issues regarding the future: kids, finances, how will everyday life work in marriage?, will both spouses work?, how will children be educated? etc

Dating is not hard or scary if you know what you want. One of the first conversations you should have is "What do you believe in? Or What is your world view?" From this one conversation, you will know if they have faith and what religion if any and their level of maturity, what stage of life they are in, and if they are ready to grow with you into the next stage or need help to reach that point. The sexual attraction is pretty easy to figure out. That happens even quicker.

Hello, nee Roman-Catholic subscriber frim the Netherlands. I really like your approach young lady. I am a teacher 10 years before retirement and can say that this is an educational top video. You may not realise or maybe you do, but with telling about the green flags, you automatically tell about the red flags opposite that green flag. You really gave it much thought.

I love and appreciate this!! I’ve learned from someone that it’s important to have “must-haves” (green flags), some “would be nice” things, and avoid all red flags (non-negotiable). I’ve wondered about being with someone Catholic vs. Christian, so I appreciate what you said regarding the interfaith relationships!

I gotta give you a big thanks because I was feeling a bit bad that I kept trying to date to marry and some relationships didn’t work out because the girl didn’t want to date to marry or didn’t believe in God (this was my mistake since I knew since the beginning these things about them)

Silly me forgot I’m almost 14 hours ahead of US and was curious when Friday came with no video 😂 I’m glad you mentioned conversion of heart as the measure and not simply virginity, i feel that’s something a lot of people miss. I’m curious for your take on this question though; if a guy (like someone still at uni) knows they can’t provide for a spouse (let alone a family) is it more ethical to hold off on dating until marriage and moving together all become more feasible things? I have many red flags. I’m annulled, have children, shy, and like traditional Catholic women. So I’m a walking red flag. That being said, an openly traditional woman who veils is always a green flag for me. It shows that she follows biblical teaching and puts God before everything else.

Keep being you. I just returned to the church after being gone a very long time, and am scheduling an appointment to talk about an annulment. When I decided to come back to the church, I was all in! I’m going through consecration to Mary at the moment and consecration to Joseph when I finish that. I learned about the significance of veiling and don’t step into the sanctuary without one. I seldom see anyone else with a veil and thought I would be self-conscious about that, but I am not because it honors our Lord.

Guys please can you pray for me, I am discerning my vocation but long story short I am quite certain the Lord wants me to serve in marriage as a father and a husband but I am also totally into spirituallity my friends think I am living like a monk or hermit 😅 God be like bro; Go full Greek-catholic and clap two flies with one hit. I am so confused right now but I need peace to remain faithful to the Lord and work on patience and other virtues as I wait on Him. God bless you!

Be chill. Friends first. Later on ask on a date, call it a date, accept rejection, dont be bitter. Be patient, but don’t wait too long. Take courage and know that no matter what the result is you have the dignity given to you by God.

@@christopherjohnson9167but see the people who end up trying to be friends become exactly that: friend zoned. You risk losing out on that person. I'm not saying jump the gun and ask for a date the first time you meet the person, but you definitely gotta get moving. At least, if you don't feel there's a lot of competition. Bc it IS inherently a competitive environment

3:33 I wouldn't say guarding your purity but rather respecting the purity of your body and the personhood the root of chastity is love. Sex ties a a man and woman together as one flesh and form a spiritual and bodily covenant if you have no intention of going into a lifelong covenant and give yourself to the person then you are using them and lying to yourself and them which is not love.

Genuine question regarding boundaries: do you think that couples just have sex accidentally? I just don't understand the whole "don't get too close to each other, or else you might start having sex!" mentality. It's very odd to me. It seems to show such a lack of trust. Like, a couple can kiss and just...not do anything else.

The thing is since Feducia Supplicans dropped in December I haven't been back to Mass, most right thinking Catholics see it as obviously heretical and places "Pope" Francis' credibility in serious doubt. So both of you just being Catholic isn't a sure thing when it comes to a relationship. I'm listening to Popesplainers going in circles trying to excuse Francis' blasphemy and it's rediculess. I suppose it's time to see who believes in Prima Scriptura. 🕊️

Go to confession and then maybe we can have a conversation. The strategy you use in your comment for example, “most right thinking Catholics” is bot like. Does that mean if we don’t condemn Francis as a heretic we’re not “right thinking” or maybe not even “catholic”? Go to confession. As if skipping mass gives you some sort of self righteous street cred. Go to confession.

I'm not the one who is commiting sin that's Francis and whoever follows him in his errors. I would say if you defend Feducia Supplicans you aren't simply not Catholic you aren't even a Christian. Remember Anathema doesn't exist post Vatican 2 but Francis has excommunicated himself through heresy.

I 100% disagree with the dating outside our Catholic faith... We are Christians so dating a Protestant or Orthodox are both Christian its still dating within the faith. Each sec just practices differently... As long as my husband respects my faith and the rules when in comes to being a Catholic ie (Marie from Catholic Caritas) her and her husband are a prime example of a interfaith marriage working out. So no its not a deal breaker. I married a Catholic and officially became catholic 2 weeks ago so we were in a interfaith marriage.

I am 66 and have been divorced about 15 years and just came back to the church. If I had it to do over again, I would not marry outside my faith. Having been part of several protestant denominations, there is a difference, and chances are it’s the woman who will be pulled away from her faith rather than the other way around.
