“When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.” ― Fulton J. Sheen, Life is Worth Living

Regarding mixed marriages: Before Vatican two, the biggest cause of Catholics losing the faith was mixed marriages. Mixed marriages have the highest rate of children loosing their religion. Even two Protestant parents have a lower rate. Of the mixed marriages I know, the vast majority of the children have lost the faith. They don’t work because they can’t work by their very nature. How can they work? How can a mother or father teach children about Our Lady, purgatory, the state of grace, the Rosary, confession, the Blessed Sacrament, if he or she doesn’t believe it? Children pick that up. Then there is the issue that protestants have a different understanding of marriage: it’s not indissoluble and doesn’t have to be open to life. That can effect the validity of a mixed marriage. A Traditional priest told the true story of Richard Reader. He was a catholic who emigrated to America in 1900. He got married to a Protestant girl. At Richards death, he had 180 descendants, and not one of them was catholic. He said Romeo choose Juliet over the faith. A Traditional priest friend of mine said that after 7 years nearly all of the people who converted to get married went back to the way they were. He warned that before marriage, the devil does all he can to bring two people who shouldn’t marry together, then afterwards marriage does all he can to tear them apart. And usually does. When I asked my friends who are married for 20+ years for advice about marriage, they always say, marry a Traditional catholic, only a Traditional catholic. Some of the unhappiest and stressed people I know are in mixed marriages. If your in a mixed courtship break it off. Trust God. God will provide. I know people who were in relationships they knew were dangerous or bad, they broke up and God, who wants our good, sent them a good catholic spouse. It’s often a test from God after which he will bless you.

Amber: we basically are looking for saint Joseph Me: sure ok, no pressure at all lol Jokes aside I have developed my devotion to saint Joseph in the last 1-2 years and I clearly feel it is making me a better man. I hate when they use the expression "putative father" like he was some kind of substitute; God wanted a true and complete father and a true and complete husband because Jesus had to grow within a true and complete family. Saint Joseph was not conceived without sin like our Mother but he just overcame literally every temptation with his incredible strenght. We don't have a single word spoken by him but we can clearly see it in his actions. He triumphed on pride, anger, egoism, envy, jealousy even before he was made aware in dreams of what was going on; lust and concupiscence, because he stayed a virgin; sloth, indolence, fear because he was always industrious and ready to change his life to protect his family. Following saint Joseph means aiming at mastering all virtues and doing it in silence. I really hope to come closer and closer to my model saint Joseph and I would encourage any man to do the same, so we can truly deserve to love the women God will put on our side. And yes I agree, all of you women who would like to find love, should ask for nothing less

It Should Be "Courting" not really dating
@charlesquinn1526
@charlesquinn1526 3 жыл бұрын
Regarding when to court, the Traditional and correct teaching is that a man’s first duty is to establish himself, that is, he must finish his training/education, get a proper job and then bring a woman into his financially stable world. If your not in a position to provide for a wife and children, it’s a sure sign your not meant to be courting. When those rules are followed, boys wanted to get their act together and make themselves in strong independent men. It’s because these rules were forgotten that we have boys living at home in the basement for years playing Xbox, working in Burger King while dating a girl aimlessly for five years.

I think the economic collapse of post-industrial capitalism has a lot to do with the "men sitting in their parent's basements" problem. There are quite a few factors involved in the destruction of the economic situation of a large percent of the population, it can't really be boiled down to only a moral failing on the part of the young men. Also, I'm wary of the modern trad-Catholic trend of declaring those in poverty as morally bound to celibacy.
@charlesquinn1526
@charlesquinn1526 3 жыл бұрын
@@stevenromo90 Yes. You are right. That is true. The big companies that could pay men a living wage and allow them to support a family have gone to China because the labor is 1/10 the price. I don’t think you need to be rich or have a prestigious job to get married. My friend is from a family of 13 and his father ran a gas station. E Michael Jones talked of a man he met from a family of 10 whose father was a janitor. My friend who is a priest told me his father worked in a factory and bought a house and raised all the children comfortably. Money is money, and I don’t think it matters too much what job you work to get it. The important thing is stability and financial security. The most cited reason for marriage break up is economic strain. Father Isaac Relyea said when a couple gets married with debt, that after two children in a marriage the couple starts contracepting because of the economic pressure. So money is important. Partly due to the reasons you mentioned, I floated in financial limbo for years believing it wasn’t possible to establish yourself without a university education, until I watched Dave Ramsey. A man can still get himself established. Even today, there are jobs that people can work that will pay them very well, but they don’t want to do them; they want the prestige and social status of a university education, even if it gets them into $10,000s of debt and doesn’t set them up with a good paying job. Most men who put their head down for two years of hard work in their 20s with deliveries jobs could establish themselves. The video below shows how much money you can make just delivering food. And to practice what I preach, I delivered food and vapes last Friday and made over well over $200. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7iAe5Sj27-RdJc.html But there isn’t much motivation to do these types of things, because men have a woman and roof over their head already; they have the benefits of marriage without the burdens.

You shared so much great advice! Everything was just, *Chef's kiss*, I loved everything you shared. I've gone through a couple TOBET classes and the main thing they teach as a difference between Men and Women are that Men are Protectors and built to do hard physical labor and Women are Hiding and Providing. Women are a mystery to Men, that's how they're Hiding, and they give Comfort and Support which shows how they are Providing.

Anyone with even a cursory level of knowledge about the current marriage and fertility rates today might conclude that marriage and even the notions of wedlock are quickly becoming outdated. In my humble opinion, "dating" isn't the problem. Personally, I don't have even the slightest interest in dating whatsoever. But to each their own.

I realize this video is a year old so I don't know if it pays to even comment but here goes anyway. You made a comment that NFP was referred to as Catholic birth control, I wouldn't go as far as to say that because there are people / that use it that are not Catholic. Well , it's actually it is type of birth control I mean you can use it for getting pregnant and not getting pregnant, I mean let's face it if you're going to manipulate the outcome of an event ie pregnancy whether it with hormones or with information your controlling the outcome. And people that promote NFP claim it's 98% effective if used correctly ( I think it's a bit of a bias statistic ) maybe one too many drinks on a Saturday night and viola, 39 to 40 weeks later parents

You probably didn’t know, as most people don’t, including me for most of my life, but kissing is a mortal sin. Any kissing. Pope Alexander VII: “It is condemned to say that it is only a venial sin to kiss for the pleasure arising from the kiss, even if there is no danger of it going further.” The last girl I courted took a vow to only kiss her husband. I never felt such respect and reverence for a girl. I thought it was so beautiful, I decided to do the same. Padre Pio recommended it to all teenage girls.

Im confused how is kissing bad?
@charlesquinn1526
@charlesquinn1526 3 жыл бұрын
@@neverloseyourvoice5263 That’s a good question. The way I would explain it is like this: If a car salesman sells you a bad car, and shakes your hand, looks you in the eye and smiles as he does it you know he is lying to you with his body. They are merely bodily functions, they have a meaning and express something. It is the same with sex. God designed sex and love between a man and a woman to be a gift of self that is among other things total and faithful. The human heart was made to love one person exclusively, totally and permanently. That is the love the heart longs to receive and give. He made sex to be the expression of this. The nature of sexual physical affection is that it creates bonds that are not meant to be broken. Kissing is the beginning and part of that physical action that glues a man and woman together emotionally. Research shows the more sexual partners someone has the less they bond with each successive one. It’s why people find it harder to forget their ex the more physical they have been with them, and think about them even when they are going out with it or even married to someone else. It’s also why women, who bond more during sex than men, find it very hard to leave a man, even if he is abusive. In God’s plan you would first discern whether this is a morally good person and they have the qualitys and virtues of a good husband or wife, then when you are sure, have decided to commit, and are in a financial position to, then you would add the emotional superglue of sex in marriage. But what happens is people don’t do this, they start being physical and their perceptions are skewed by the emotional glue. They don’t marry the right person, or they marry a bad person. The marriage breaks up after a few years, or the woman gets pregnant and the man leaves soon after, or they decide to leave after a while because they never intended it to be permanent. God didn’t tell us to do things this way to make us unhappy, rather the contrary. He wants to protect people, especially women and children who suffer more than the man, from this pain and trauma, and set them up to have the happiest, strongest, committed enduring marriages they can.
