No, the problem is Hollywood fires are special magical fires and water, well, it's made of explosive hydrogen and flammable oxygen. No? Watch a few movies and see how frequently the oxygen from a tank breaks into open flames and explodes. Nothing else, just the oxygen explodes as if it's propane. Some studios don't require one suspend disbelief, one has to expel it completely.

I work in disaster restoration. When I saw these clips, first thing I thought is what a mess those fire sprinklers are going to make. But there aren't any on the set ceiling shots! Is there a single steel-and-glass high rise built before sprinklers were code that hasn't been retrofit? They could've at least made it a part of the plot that the fire created an "inverse moisture vector" that sucked all the water from the pipes, causing the fire pumps to transport to another dimension and turned the pump trucks inside out. What is very disappointing is that I didn't realize this is supposed to be Seattle Fire Department in the show. When I realized this I called up my father (a 25 year veteran of SFD) and asked him if he was aware of this disappointment of a show. According to him, many Seattle Firefighters consider the show a complete joke. In real life, the Firefighters of Seattle are very well trained, very disciplined, and very down to earth. The fire trying to kill the firefighters in this episode is sadly quite accurate, Seattle seems to be trying very hard to get rid of its first responders, perhaps even to the point of altering the laws of physics.

Can you blame it, really, though? I want to smack them for stupidity, after all, why not let the fire have a shot at it? :P

The fire exploding back into the building was great, like the fire was just pissed at how incompetent these firefighters are and wanted to knock some sense into them.

Come on Jason, as a firefighter you must have heard the famous saying that fire follows. If at first you don't kill the firefighters, break all known laws of physics and try try again...

I absolutely LOVE that you green screened yourself in! I could help but laugh at a couple of the scenes, and I like how you have the same energy as most REAL firefights probably have with this show! XD This is also my kind of energy with medical shows, since those too are inaccurate and I can never keep my mouth shut whenever one comes on.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end an episode with the fire saying " I'll get you next time!" and then escaping out of a window.

I was there that day trapped in one of the rooms on the 22nd floor. I was trapped because I forgot the deadbolt locked from the inside. When that explosion occurred, one of the fire fighters rode the wave and came out, up, and back into the room on the floor I was on. They had their axe in hand which let them break the glass before coming through it. Firefighter was then able to unlock the deadbolt and escort me because that fire door had been shut. No appreciation for first responders these days.
