I generally agree with your point here Mike. Diet soda is a really strange subject though... There's scare mongering about alzheimers and cancer and it seems to be widely accepted that Aspartame is bad for you, yet there is zero conclusive evidence, only individual subjective studies which are worthless (always research who studies are funded by). For example; Aspartame is a chemical comprised of 2 amino acids, so we're told that aminos are great, then we're told aspartame is a deadly toxin? I only use Stevia and I totally agree that ingesting any 'chemicals' should be kept to a minimum but consumers need more black and white info about this stuff. Science need to reach a definitive conclusion. There is so much conflicting 'evidence' from experts that normal people don't have a clue what's safe and what isn't! Gut bacteria is something we need more research into as people don't understand how important they are. Anything which destroys gut bacteria are potentially deadly. Anyway, love the content and love you as a dude, Mike. Massively respect and appreciate your views and the work you do for us all.

Hell one of the LEADING doctors and researchers on gut microbiome says that artificial sweeteners don't have I'll effects in a normal amount. She even drinks diet soda.
