I went from 1 meal ketogenic internment fasting to eating 4 small low carb, protein and vegetable meals and I feel amazing, recovery is through the roof from proper nutrition. I train jiujitsu 7 days a week and I used to hate eating before training but now a small meal 3 to 4 hours prior gets me pressuring through the later rounds of sparring easily

I never hear anyone mention this but in school I was taught the body has five cellular requirements in order for our cells to function properly. The five cellular requirements are #1 Glucose, H2O, CO2, P.H, and Temperature. Also there is a deadly condition for diabetics called keto acidosis and before they reach that their in Ketosis. I’m not expert but with this basic knowledge I’m pretty sure Mike knows what he’s talking about.

I often hit maintenance phases in which I do just that. Great way maintain the lean tissue and strength you have built in higher intensity phases.

I am big fan of MMA and this video popped up in my suggestions. My wife is personal trainer and everything you said in this video she teaches her clients and has been trying to teach me as well. But lots of them don't listen, including me. So she heard me watching your video and she said: you need some MMA guy to tell you how to eat, see I was right about it whole time, you think I am a joke lol. So literally every single fruit and carb you mentioned we have in our house. She pulled up Pineapple from the fridge to make some juice and literally you said Pineapple 1 sec after. That was some weird sh.t lol. And now she wants to share your video all across her social media haha

Dolce, What are you views on air popped popcorn? I have a big bowl every day. It is my favorite snack and I've been eating it for years. I'll drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt on top. Is it a good snack and healthy carb source?

I wnana get out off keto carnivore diet but I always suffer from bloating and brain fog especially in work got physical job should I keep my protein and fats high in work then when I get home have a high carb meal I always feel the best on keto but I no you can’t stay on it for ever usually sorta my gut issues out aswell

Every nutrition paradigm has people who are just as convinced, and have their success stories, and their studies and their science. how is one supposed to sift through it all? The biggest single issue is that everybody says the other ways don't 'WORK" without defining exactly what that means. Maximum performance? Most body-fat reduction? longest lifespan? Highest % of people can stick with it the longest? blood tests or other markers? Is the perfect diet for maximum physical performance for a professional athlete going to look the same as the perfect diet for maximum health and longest lifespan for a 'normal' person? I have no idea, but why would it? It is totally logical to me that they would be substantially different. I also am of the belief that further understanding of genetics will discover that the 'best' diet (for either performance or health/longevity) could be wildly individual for various genetic profiles

I think uncle Mike tends to exaggerate what a ketogenic diet is. No one I follow says to eat a stick of butter, a block of cheese or drink diet coke. I eat foods that are apart of the Dolce diet, coconut oil, avocado, hemp seeds, green leafy vegetables, wild caught salmon, macadamia nuts. This is how I choose to eat and I don't tell anyone to eat like me. I'm happy and feel great. Go Dodgers.

Keto is great for losing weight, and you need to at least check Dr Berg, one of the biggest KZfaq guys out there, says to eat 5-7 cups of veggies a day. At least get your facts right, man. That said, I feel better and look just as good eating more carbs. JUST EAT REAL FOOD, but Keto falls into this. JERF
