She was just born in Portugal, the only reason she kept her Portuguese papers, was because traveling as a European around the world was much simpler at that time than being a south American. But let's be honest here, how much can u consider your self from a country that you left at the age of 10 months. Can someone remember anything at that age? So, she may be born there, but she was 100% Brazilian soul. No offense to the Portuguese people. I was born there and my parents move back to Brazil when I was one year old, and believe me, I consider myself 100% Brazilian 👍🇧🇷❤🇵🇹

yeah. Actually Carmen Mirane came before Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jacksson, Madonna... Carmen Miranda was the first Diva in the last century , she may have inspired all musicians that came after her. she made a revolution in the way musical artists performs themselves , with characterization, facial and corporal expressions, being unique. she incorporate the feeling that you carry with their musics.

incredibly ahead of her time, stuff from the 80s hasnt aged this well. her influence is palpable in pop and performance to this day throughout the Americas, maybe a bit indirectly in the U.S. where other stars who mimicked her were lauded instead, and not just Brazilian stars like Ivete Sangolo or Anitta or the drag pop stars.

@vinioliver2992 Жыл бұрын

Greenwich Village is the name of the film and portrays the legendary bohemian neighborhood of New York. Charles Chaplin account in his autobiography curious passages lived in this neighborhood in the early twentieth century, when he was famous and rich. The artist befriended a suicidal poet and reproduces in the book very beautiful poem. It is worth checking.
