as someone who currently works in the produce department of a store, I can say that sometimes when the department manager orders stuff in it just doesn't come.

Worked as a full time butcher and even had to do orders on occasion. Even when I personally ordered our product, had no idea when it'd get to us. Especially since the pandemic started. It's supposed to be ordered 3 days out but sometimes I won't see it for a week.

Distribution is like this everywhere. I work in a warehouse. Just last week a 1+ yr old order finally arrived.

As someone who currently works retail with some time in the stocking department I can 100% support this.

@@Cripplified That was the least of my habits, tbh. I was also drinking an entire bottle of vodka every day back then and riding my bicycle 12 miles to/from work. It was a weird time of my life. My heart is fine, resting BPM of like 65. I'm not saying to do as I do, but the "dangers" of MSG are way overblown.

At that time people were also typically drinking more soft drinks than water(most of which contain sodium). All of a sudden people started complaining about headaches, and someone linked it to MSG seeing as how it was an ingredient most people weren't really familiar with. In reality the problem was eating salty food and not drinking enough water, leading to the headaches later in the day. As with just about all things, nothing wrong with MSG if used responsibly.

@@koborivers oh, we all know. The issue lies in that most stores use a 3rd party shipping company. That shipping company could be filling 50 different trucks, 4-5 of them could be to your company, the rest go to other locations. For me, where I live on an Island province, it all depends on the weather, who can get across on the ferry, and other traffic conditions. But most of all, because trucks are filled with different inventories, they can be filled with just about anything the company orders. Obviously they will keep the cold products together, but the regular trucks could have literally anything put in it, as long as it fills the truck up. So a stack of PS5s that your company is waiting on, might be in truck 2, while PS5 games could be in truck 1. It's messed up, but at the same time, they can't be sending half empty trucks halfway across the country.
