Thank you for the comment. I learned that little lesson when I was pumping it out. Future plans are to move the drainage pipe out well away from the foundation.

We put in a sump basin and pump but with how the water rises we can’t pump until the water table starts to drop. Luckily that process of rise and fall only lasts 2 weeks

Ya it caught me off guard and really slowed me down. It happens every September for me and last only a week or two but it floods my crawl space. Had to add a sump pump to handle it as best as possible. I feel for you

Good question! It is a crawl space and had to be dug down that far so that we hit solid base material so the foundation has a solid place to sit and not sink.

@@RedemptionRoad yes, the area under our house was considered a crawl space and we always fought water down there, pumps and the whole bit...wasn't solved till we lost the foundation and replaced it and had basement floor poured....and French drains all over the place...keeps it dry now...

Thanks for the comment. I added interior French drains and about 4” of gravel with a sump pump. Since this happens towards the end of August I will see how my solution works.

@@Brandon-no3vc no basement. It is a 4’ crawl space with drainage and sump pump set up. Outside also has a French drain. The water issue happens each year so the system I set up allows for it and reduces mold issues.

@@Brandon-no3vc we have a low water table. Our well is only 52 feet and floods each year, so we ruled it out. Plus we would rather pour that exp nose into other areas of the property. Great set of questions
