Love this video! What awesome reminders given to us thru God’s promises! If we believe not, yet HE abideth faithful, for He cannot deny himself. Praise the Lord! I often struggle with trusting God for my Christian walk, yet the Holy Spirit points my focus back to Jesus, who bore ALL my sins by His shed blood, so that one day I can walk by sight.

you know what? this is spot on accurate. before i came to real faith in christ, i thought being "christian" would make me feel better suddenly and just get rid of my anxiety etc. but it didnt. i didnt understand why? everyone else i spoke to was perfectly (well, seemingly so) in their faith, but i still had fears and anxieties. years later, i realized that theres nothing i can do to earn heaven and that my salvation is purely of christ and not of my own doings, my anxieties started to melt away. the closer i get to christ, realizing that its all about him, the more i become dead, and he becomes alive in me, the less anxiety i get. im now starting to realize what it means to have faith in Him. im not perfect, but i now know. praise God!

While I loved this series, and consider it accurate, and agree totally on the gospel, salvation, our flesh/spirit natures, and our walk, I was rather hoping for more on mental health. My household deals with autism, seasonal depression, and memory loss from mini-strokes and MS. Actual illnesses that affect the mind. Still, I'm glad I listened to you, since we also deal with the sins of the flesh, and leaning on God is what gets us through all of it. God bless you, and thanks!

Yes! We really probably should have titled this series “Spiritual Health,” but we thought of that the other day. It’s an intro to the other series’ we are doing. I’m unsure the extent Jesse plans to go on the actual mental health concepts, but we have lots of questions pouring in. Thank you for the support. God bless you too! - Trent

Jesse, can you do a video discussing medications. I believe also in CBT, that is biblical cognitive behavioral therapy. These videos help to accomplish this. The last thing a person experiencing anxiety needs is the false works gospel which only makes anxiety worse.

Hi, I am new to faith alone is there anything that we do that changes the way that we are saved?

Hey there! Once you have placed faith in Jesus Christ, there is nothing you or anything else could ever do to change your salvation. You are sealed, secure, adopted, given eternal life, and never to be brought unto condemnation again. See John 3:15-18, 5:24, Eph. 1:12-14, 1 Peter 1:4-5. - Trent

we do nothing to deserve salvation. salvation is completely up to christ and jesus says if any calls upon him, he will in no way turn them away -- john 6:37-39. the reason its faith in christ alone and not for our works or behavior is because the bible says none of us deserve nor can earn it -- Isaiah 64:6. It is of Christ only and not ourselves. this is why we have faith in christ and not our own works. matthew 7:21-23 tells us this. verse 21 tells us who goes to heaven, john 6:40 explains that "Will". vs 22 and 23 tells us who was cast out and why: because they depended upon their works. So to sum it up, our salvation is purely by grace through faith, nothing we can do to change it. everlasting means "forever", have faith in christ that he died for your sins and know that you are forgiven. --praise the lord God forever! Amen!

It’s too bad the Bible doesn’t say the truth. If the Bible said “life is going to be complete hell until you die” then I’d be probably happier. But turns out nothing magically gets better. Jesus doesn’t care what vices, or sins, or drugs, or addictions you quit, it doesn’t matter until you are dead”. If this wasn’t the truth then maybe one single prayer ive prayed FOR EVER SINGLE NIGHT FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS WOULD HAVE COME TO FRUITION. But no. Because the truth is my prayers have NEVER been heard. NEVER been answered. It doesn’t matter if you quit substance abuse. No one cares until you are dead.

I’m sorry you’re feeling let down and discouraged and like Jesus doesn’t care about you. I know how that feels but I believe Jesus loves you so much. I pray He shows you that in your day to day activities and encourages your soul.
