Grace alone says " Trust in Christ alone for salvation and it is forever settled." Lordshipers say " Trust in Christ alone for salvation and then wait to see if God will keep His promise."

Amen Thank you Jesse and Trent. These works based theologies create more doubt, frustration, despair and depression the letters will keep rolling in. I was fellowshipping with a group that have the gospel spot on but focus on salvation could be lost in OT and trib and was also faith and works and Jesus won’t marry the church as he won’t/can’t marry his own body, not sure if I should keep fellowshipping just because they have the gospel correct but then have so many other errors, but I haven’t found anyone else who is clear on the gospel. God bless.

5:45 yes he simply believed and died. There wasn’t even time to be tried by satan. So he got 100% saved by Christ ( well as everyone) but had no time to go astray.

So I would have answered the last question very differently. Lordship salvation is popular because people are hurt and broken. It’s a learned behavior from not only the world but the church that we have to measure up. Plus there are so many “if” verses that can be so easily taken out of context by those that love the Lord. I think it has very little to do with appealing to our pride and much more about preying on our sensitivities using manipulation, condemnation, and accusations. We want to please and that can get us into trouble.

Hello Pastor Jesse. What is your take on what is written in the book of Mathew... About binding and losing which is capitalized by some Churches?

the Lordship Salvation people love can't fathom the idea of something being completely free and without cost... the way they validate their feelings is to use verses to are clearly for Discipleship and not for salvation and confusing the two..

Lordship salvation makes the cross of no effect, and makes man his own savior. It is trusting in what we do to save us, instead of what Jesus did to save us. It is a perversion of the true gospel of Grace. Under Grace, God imputes righteousness to us apart from works. Romans 4:6. Just as David describeth the blessedness of the man to whom the Lord IMPUTETH righteousness, APART FROM WORKS. And the next 2 verses. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not IMPUTE sin. Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us ALL trespasses. First Corinthians 15:1-4. The gospel we believe. Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:18. Second Corinthians 9:15. Thanks be to God for His UNSPEAKABLE GIFT, ETERNAL LIFE. We should love Him because He first loved us, and gave HIs life a ransom for us. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, a child and forever I am. My salvation does not depend on what I do or do not do, but what He did for me. Jesus paid it all and I paid 0. Romans 3:26-28. You cannot boast in free. Romans 6:23. First John 1:8. AMAZING GRACE. John 3:16. See all you WHOSOEVERS in heaven. John 6:47. Acts 16:31. Romans 11:6. Romans 1:16.

Love the videos brothers! However I have a random question pertaining 1 Corinthians 7:14. Is the verse claiming that the unbelieving spouse is saved by the Faith of the believing spouse or is it not? Sanctification means to be made righteous or holy, so is that not what the scripture is saying? Thanks 🙏🏻
@AlexTheFollowerofJesusChrist

I think I can answer that brother and I hope I am correct. I remember reading in Acts when someone asks how they are saved they are told to "believe on Jesus Christ and you and your household will be saved". So in regards to your question I believe your spouse is saved. Keep praying for your spouse to come to the faith, I have been praying for my family to come to the faith and to be saved every single day and my little brother is slowly coming to the faith and my little sister I believe is now a believer. After I got saved my little sister went and got her kids my nephews baptized last summer. The closer we get to the Lords day the more and more people will come to the faith.

5:00 incorrect. The thief got the full package like an 11 hour worker. So yes, he got the full relationship at once, he just didn’t have time to destroy it. That is why so many people waited till old age to get baptized.

If Jesus is not your lord then who is? Do you really believe a person can be saved without being under the headship of Christ? There's only two options: you're either walking on the light or walking in darkness. Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. To be with Christ is to follow Christ as Lord.
@BibleLine
@BibleLine Ай бұрын
To be in Christ or “with Christ,” you just believe in Him that He died for your sin. To follow Christ is to follow Christ. It’s discipleship or service. These two things are never intertwined in scripture as being one unit that saves. Christ is Lord of all, but not all believe in Him. That’s the difference. - Trent
@JimmyGGGGG
@JimmyGGGGG Ай бұрын
@@BibleLine Scripture consistently presents these two concepts as being intrinsically intertwined. To be in Christ is to abide in his word. To abide in his word is to be his disciple. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, *“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.* (John 8:31) Now *he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.* And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. (1 John 3:24) 'Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.' If anyone says, "I know Him," *but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar,* and *the truth is not in him.* (1 John 2:4) 'He who says *he abides in Him* ought himself also to walk just as He walked.' (1 John 2:6) John 14:23 Jesus replied, *"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word.* My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.. To abide in Christ is to abide in his word. To abide in his word is to be a disciple. To abide in his word is to keep his commandments.

I don't know why people would want to have Jesus as Savior and not as Lord. I actually have a better rest and a cleaner conscience living right. Righteousness, Peace and Joy is a function of kingship, which is a function of Lordship. I really think that people that believe in greasy believism: (1) weren't good at math in school (2) couldn't write computer code well & (3) had reading comprehension issues or just don't like to think through what they read and/or want to pack along a "belly-god".

I think some people Conflate Salvation and Discipleship. Assuming that because they believe in Jesus Christ that they have it all. Which makes them also Conflate The Kingdom of Heaven and The Kingdom of God. Just by believing in Jesus Christ you may get into The Kingdom of Heaven. But you must also be a Disciple of Jesus Christ to get into The Kingdom of God and The Mysteries of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2. Mathew 13:11. Mark 4:11.

So long as you rightly divide: salvation is an instantaneous, permanent, irrevocable gift of God given by simple childlike faith in 1 Cor. 15:1-4. Discipleship-what you are talking about-is hard work, costly, and most importantly, optional, to receive eternal life with the Lord.

Jesus is already Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Whether you or anyone else makes Jesus lord doesn't change the fact that Jesus is already Lord. The issue is who is the object of your faith and who do you trust in completely? The motive is in question and the self-righteousness crowd wants to look at themselves and trust in themselves to be saved. These folks then compare themselves to others. Jesus gave us a parable about this. Luke 18 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Are you so dull that you do not understand that the thief on the cross lived under the old covenant. Do you not realise that Jesus refers to a surrendered Christian as a friend, and as such an ambassador of shared characteristics, so that the representation of the nature of the Father will be seen by those who Christ is in and who He is Lord over.

You sin every day in thought, word, or deed. On your best day of holy living, you are a hundred trillion light years from the perfection required by a timeless, all-powerful being’s impossible, exacting standard. God does not want, nor need, your filthy works rags. He wants you to trust in the power of his Son’s finished redemptive work on the cross for your justification by faith alone. Believest thou this?
@danielfraser643

I fail to see any of that as relevant to the redeeming of the thief. But if what you are saying is that do I agree that my intellect/opinion stinks and my will a failure and all that is good, wise, humble and kind in me is in fact Him; then I entirely agree.

@@danielfraser643 So you agree that your intellection/opinion stinks and your will a failure then it is reasonable to believe that your comments can't be trusted. You didn't use any scriptures to back up what you commented so how do we know that what you stated is good, wise, humble and kind that is in fact Him?

If the truth is spoken through me, of course they can. Look up the scriptures for yourself, it will be a great exercise in increasing your Bible knowledge and then you too will know the words are not mine 😊
