Really creative sion ults. Good job, Grubster. It may not seem like it, but sion has huge lane bully potential. I know you found the q "hard to land", but I think you were overthinking it. Just go for it, and release before they leave range. That way you get some poke at the minimum, but get the chance to fish for an all in if you do hit the knockup. Also, the E sets up the Q very well, both in the slow to make it easier to land, and the armor shred to make it hurt 20% more. Also, smurf lucian.

As sion, its recommended if you have time, to rush hide top middle bush > melee minions exact meet there > when they about to die > charge ur Q and hope to kill cs + land Q dmg & stun the enemy who is about to cs those melee minions. At some cases , after you sneaky land that Q you can auto them to death if not then its a lvl 2 kill with enough experience. Just some random " just get lucky" cheese strat.

Grubby, in top and bot lanes with the side brushes, when you're tanking a wave of minions to manipulate the wavestate, assuming the other side doesn't have vision in the brush, you can go into the brush to drop the the minon aggro more consistently and take less dmg compared to waiting for your own minions to get the aggro. So when pulling the wave, try to be right next to the brush and then you can just enter asap it when the wavestate is where you want.

Nice video Grubby! A little tip while playing Sion: If you use E to slow your enemy, it's very hard for them to avoid a full Q, this is how you have a very positive Q hitting accuracy.

Heartsteel is weak early BUT its insane lategame scaling for sion. The item it self scales from health and generates "infinite health". Sions W scales with health and generates "infinite health". Then you get sunfire that scales from the health pool and titanic hydra that also scales from health pool. Now midgame if you farmed well, entering to late game your 3 items that scales from each other and your W. You have insane health pool, you do alot of aoe burn dmg to nearby enemies, you hit hard because of titanic hydra with cleave and you get big shields from W. You have also decent armor at point but low magic resist so next item should give MR. If you splitpush you should always go hullbreaker or if you want to group up, kill drakes etc go gargoyle stoneplate. Some weird ass situation if enemies have like 4ap champs and their supp is only ad dmg, abyssal mask become interesting item. It gives good amount of MR, some HP and some haste, but it will also break enemy MT that makes you sunfire tick harder and boosts allied AP dmg. And abyssal mask scales with health shredding more enemy MR. So what is the last item? Usually if you go hullbreaker gargoyle stoneplate is best as its shield also scales with hp. Rest of the time it depends. If they have absurd amounts of AP dmg spirit visage or abyssal mask could be 5th item. Lots of AD and its thornmail. Or randuins omen if they have lots of crit. Force of nature and dead mans plate are usually bad choises but could be useful if u need that little movement increase. Even mercurial scimitar can be good if they have some long cc to break like malzahars ult. But most cases if you have gargoyles already and enemies have mixed dmg steraks cage is really strong last item on sion. Going heartsteel -> sunfire -> titanic hydra is the "optimal" route to get your power spike, but usally you need to adapt and maybe buikd sunfire first, hearth steel 2nd and something from the list later on like hullbreaker 3rd. But any buildorder you do, you want to always have the "power trio" of heartsteel + titanic + sunfire as first 4 items and not leave any as 5th.

You can keep pressing your Q for bigger damage and some cc on top of it.

Hey Grubby - to speed up your item decision learning, after you die expand the death summary to see if you were taking more Magic or Attack damage - then you'll know if you should be buying Armour or Magic Resist for your lane.

In the mobile version of LOL, Sion is well known to be the champion to ranking climb to Narnia. Just dont hit champions without any aa, abilities or runes. Just kill minions, monsters and turrets. Don't ever put a ward. End every game with terrible stats and kda. That will break the matchmaking system and you'll get T1 as teammates.

If you have played Xeno Saga (old RPG) you get a kick out of how Grubby is saying the name. I'm waiting 4 Kos Mos to reply :)

i think sion fits grubby well. i also think e.g. galio would suit him well. i really enjoy watching his journey in dota2 and now in league (even league is less frequent) but i am a bit confused why he sometimes feels less "interested"/"invested" in a champ from league just cause he is "simpler" (which is ofc a subjective manner even its often true) when he plays "simpler" heroes in dota2 most of the time (and no this is no criticism and no i am not judging that the heroes in dota2 are simple - they would be complex enough for me. but from an objective point of view i think e.g. axe or warlock from dota2 are overall as complex kitwise as some simpler champs from league. (really sad i have to explain this to not tilt certain ppl but i want to clarify that i am just a bit confused on that matter and maybe someone here could explain this to me or maybe my view is struggling and i am totally wrong on that matter but thats the vibes i am often getting from league champs with a simpler kit he plays. i don't even know if my wording makes sense here so i stop now. to everyone reading this have a good day!

Aim your E at your target, not at the minion. You are obsessing too much with the geometry of the skill, when in fact E is just a longer skill shot if you have a minion in between you. Conversely, it becomes a short range slow if you don't have any minion in between.

man your laning phase was rough, i always skip your videos to the live game, and wonder whats the point of you going into practice tool if you have no idea what the abilities do during the game? and i don't understand the ult engage on a full health pantheon under his tower "oh thats what that does?" and the boots, there's really no thought involved... if the enemy team has 3-5 cc abilities buy merc treads, otherwise you always build vs your laner. no thinking involved. and runes like you pick runes and you don't know what they do?
