I thought Bronte was a very interesting character and I was surprised a mobster appeared in the game to begin with.

While martelli is smart I don’t think he was a consigliere since consigliere’s are advisors and don’t take over when the boss dies or retires. I think martelli might’ve been an underboss or capo.

Mob structure as we know it today didn't exist in the late 1800s, the "Associate>Soldier>Capo>Underboss-Consigliere>Boss" system was setup by Lucky Luciano. Back then it was more in line with other gangs, you had members, enforcers, a right hand man, that type of thing

Red dead online IS canon. Whatever the hell you think of it, it's canon and Sean, Joe, Sadie, and Bonnie are all in the game, even other people. Just in case you didn't know, RDO takes place in 1898 (a year before the story) and if you don't know this then you either didn't play RDO or you're just a story fanboy lmao

It’s a game about criminals what do you expect, any Italian who isn’t a mobster would just be a normal person and have no significant contribution because they weren’t in positions of power aside from the mafia, I say this as an Italian too it’s not that deep

No, in online you work with martelli as his personal agents, we're not members of the family nor are we allowed to interact with bronte, he carries out the will of the family as a front man to interact with us. It does fit, just kinda weird to explain the timeline lol

GTA Online started in 2013, led up till Trevor ditches Wade and Ron, Franklin set up his Agency and Michael's kids grow up more an go their own ways. Originally it was also set before the GTA5 main story, just advanced with time. Similar for RDR Online, though much less development so it mainly just goes to just around the start of RDR2's story. A year before the main story originally. (Update here are the official dates in the timeline: 1898 Martelli contracts the Online protagonist to find stolen capitale. Sometime after Bronte's death in 1899 Martelli founded his own mob and became the kingpin of Saint Denis. By 1907 he rules with an iron fist, even more so than Bronte did. John and Charles meet some of Martelli's men near the end of RDR2 events of the main story.) Hope this bit helps with some confusion.
