I’ve never been chased by a dog. And I’ve run across the entire city of Raleigh for decades. Main roads, Back roads, everything. I was a Paid campaign runner in 2014 & 2016 elections and covered 3 counties. Never had a dog chase me! I feel neglected now! Hahahaha….. keep running!!

Actual cruelty is when the media attacked Sarah Palin’s children: her baby, who has Down Syndrome, and her teenaged daughter. Now that crossed a line. This is nothing. Noem is being criticized for things she actually did: she included an incredibly divisive story in a memoir because she mistakenly thought it would make her look tough. She included false anecdotes and has demurred when asked to verify them. If she can’t handle these “cruel jokes” about her own actions, then it’s not just a question of her honesty and judgement; maybe she isn’t as tough as she pretends to be.

Gutfeld has no idea how real ranchers/farmers handle their animals. She was truthful and explained why she did it. Would it have been any more humane to have it euthanized? The dog would still be dead. Gutfeld just sounded like a disgruntled little weasel.

I too have sh*t a dog. Us country folk don't take our pets to a vet and pay them to put down our dogs for us. We handle our own business. And we pet them, talk to them, give them some treats, and the last thing they know is a nice time with their people. Not being in a cold cage in a clinic anong strangers.

Gonna regret this, but I understand what she did. As a former rancher, there is a point where the dog is just a tool. If it doesn't work, you get rid of it. If the dog is violent, you put it down. Word of interpretation - the weather in the Midwest was life threatening & home destroying. Noem did the correct things - being with her people where she may be needed. Putting a dog to sleep is exactly what the phrase states, so you've obviously never held your pet as it was fading away peacefully, however a puppy like the one she killed, could have been placed with a family that would have cherished it. Well, theres a reason that vets have a vested interest in putting down pets. They'll usually offer to take care of the remains which means 'SELLING IT to a PET FOOD COMPANY.' Now they live in town with our son and they learned to get along with his pet rabbit. He just gradually let them know that the rabbit was part of his pack. Bird dogs instinctively go after birds.
