If you are playing pretty heavy get that thing taken apart and dusted every few months. No matter how well you clean its gonna build up some dust over time and that should do wonders.

It's marked down to 900 on sale. But it uses 12th gen intel (my 3rd favorite cpu lineup) and last gen everything with a next gen 4070. Amazing deal IMO. I just prefer overall quality

$1400 is a decent price but for only a few hundred more you can get a Framework 16' which you actually own (aka have the ability to modify and replace the modular components)

Repairability is significantly more important then you may think, a Framework will likely last a decade or more while "fancy high end" laptops like that usually only last 3-4 years

I don’t know man, at least for these budget laptops, i believe they cost you less than a pc + 144hz monitor. I just bought an Asus laptop with 17 13th gen, rtx 4060 and 144hz screen for 1150$. I don’t think you can get all that in a pc for the same price, or at least not for cheaper than that.

Reminder that the cpu and gpu, while sharing the same name are vastly different in a laptop and a desktop. Ram and ssd tends to also be on the lower transfer speeds. The reason for the ''lite'' version of all those components, is that if they had the same power as the desktop version, crammed in a asphyxiation fetish chamber that is the laptop, all the components would overheat like crazy, thermal throttle or straight up stop functioning because of the bad airflow.

Yeah, but honestly the only thing I won't pick secondhand would be the ssd or hdd. Anything else, even ex-mining gpu actually works wonder. Bought a secondhand 3090 24gb vram from a bitcoin miner for about $520 (shipping & packaging included) last january. Now I'm pumping out crazy amount of hentai & porn using stable diffusion. comments are just mad, laptops dont overheat literally like 99% of the time. they only overheat if the user is incompetend and refuses to clean the fans. i have an acer nitro 5 and the cooling system is extremely efficient, with temps under 70 degrees under heavy load.

@detect1ve6903 it doesn't lag on teardown I run the game at the highest setting and get about 100fps when I didn't destroy anything in that map then when I did it I wad getting 80ish fps

at 100 watts its equal to 3070ti at 150 watts, u can overclock it to 140 watts in the asus tuf software. and its faster about 25%. but yeah, heat issue is serious when overclocked since even at 100 watts its already pretty close to thermal throttling set by nvidia at 87°c when at max load. cpu is even worse, when not overclocked and at max load it can easily reach 95°c. i know this because i own the same gaming laptop, but instead of intel one, mine is amd one cause thats the one thats available from where im from. pretty good machine if u ask me. but nothing tops desktop. even 3080 desktop or 6950xt for less than half the price of this laptop. but after counting costs for other internal hardwares, external hardwares and os. yeah, the end result would be more expensive. another factor would be the portability. i move between my room and the guestroom, sometimes i went out town to the city and just bring it together with me at the hotel and play it at night after im done doing stuffs outside.

@@avigamer7285 the equivalent of it would be the 3060 desktop. frame gen is great but the input lag/latency it brings with it makes it not worth it. i dont bother using it with this laptop, same with dlss unless i use ray tracing at max then i use dlss at the highest quality available from the game. if ure not moving around then gaming desktop, if u have the money then go get both. even better u have handheld as well if u want to play games on bed or couch.

Bro i remember buying this same laptop in christmas 2021. Laptop crashed and rebooted on integrated graphics because the gpu died even task manager didnt show the gpu. Returned that laptop in less than a day. Ended up exchanging that for a legion.

@@RiggedangelDepends on what is your budget and what you are gonna use it for but i would recommend to NOT cheap out on your RAM, Storage, power suply and motherboard. Way to many PC builders tell you to get a good GPU and cheap out on everything else which won't give you that many upgrade options down the line.

@@10CentWentythe processor too is like that So in end pcs will be cheaper for performance Also why does a monitor of these specs cost 300 bucks This has a craptastic color space and is so small the least size 144hz monitor I could find was 24" much bigger than this laptop
