We had started building a house but then health problems, death of several family members and the customer of lumber post-covid have kept that from being finished. We have gotten judged quite a bit for living the way we do. Get asked " why would you want to live like that?" Or answer is to counter with " so you think it's smarter to get a house that is way larger than what you need, have huge mortgage payments for the next 30 -25 years, get a brand new vehicle and have payments on that for 5 or 6 years and hope and pray nothing happens that you and your spouse don't end up without a job or having health issues etc.?"

We have a travellers site next to where I live and I can truly say they don’t cause any problems whatsoever. The site is away from the main road and you never, ever see any rubbish lying around. I agree more permanent sites are needed so the children can go to school.

The reality is that mist Gypsies aren’t tolerated . I lived in Cambridge & my bf at the time lived in a caravan on a travellers site. Some taxi drivers wouldn’t go there I found out and even the Police didn’t want to . Travellers have a rep & maybe this show will help people understand their way of life .
