I don't like the Gospel music that artists make these days and I have been looking for music to get me into that calm and quiet state that makes you feel like you are really connecting with God. This is that music. It makes my moments of praise and worship feel more genuine, like its my own. My thoughts are not being led by someone else's words, but by the words in my heart and my soul. Thank you for your music and may God bless you for sharing your gifts.

The first time I heard one of your songs was 10 years ago, when I was grieving my Mother's passing, spending countless hours at work just to keep my mind busy. 'You lost the starlight in your eyes' was the song. I never knew such music existed until then. THANK YOU.

General anxiety, health anxiety, death anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic attacks!!! Until I took that step to seek help and finally admitted to myself that it's okay to not be okay, the one element that really got me through was the music.......and specifically Hammock's music. In a very straight forward way, life is just for living. Life is an incredible thing, whether it's a human life, a plant or an animal’s life. And yet, even at 47 years young, it still blows my mind...that's before we even get into talking about the Universe and Galaxies! We've all been given this privilege of being here, by the most ridiculously longest odds. Odds that when stacked up only two or three generations back then you're talking millions to one that you're even here, and yet here you are, breathing air, looking at the sky, the stars, the trees and just being...a human being. The point is to just enjoy it as much as you can! I know that some people can find that very difficult, some people's circumstances find it difficult but the thing is to make sure you enjoy it because we've all been given this amazing gift. Make it something that others can enjoy as well and try to make them enjoy their lives. If you can help other people enjoy themselves, even it's just while you’re having lunch with them, going for a walk or having a coffee, then that's what it's all about. So maybe all we can do is to live well, but don't try to live too perfectly. We should strive to take the chances as they arrive and not to put things off. To make the most of it but to know that you can't live each day as if it were your last because that would just be too damn exhausting. And most of all, to remember that in the end when you have lived your life, that it's the little things that will always stay with you; those chances that you did take, that conversation that you finally managed to have to tell someone how you really feel about them, the connections that you made with others, the people you loved and the wonderful moments that you shared.

Paddy O'Brien, if you're still suffering from anxiety, I hope you'll find the book "DARE" by Barry McDonagh. It's the only thing that really helped me heal from 50+ years of anxious discomfort and the limitations it caused. The book is about $16 on Amazon, also available as an audiobook, and comes with a free audio app that I found very helpful too. Your library may have the book as well.

I feel like I'm the last human staring at the final moments of the universe: a cold, dark place devoid of life and light. Humans have long since gone extinct and I'm happy that we're not around to suffer this mute fate, but I'm also sad that we're not there to witness this peace. That's how this song makes me feel.

This song feels like it's the end of days. I'm laying in a field of tall grass, on a hill with one single tree on it. I'm watching the sky burn as certain doom comes crashing down all around me. The Earth it shakes and groans, purging itself but it's a sight like no other 'In the shattering of things'. There's a certain beauty in death, just the same as new life. They are the first and last things you will ever experience and both you wont ever remember. That to me is beauty.

Whenever I sink in despair, feeling like the weight of living seems to be more burden than joy, this songs pulls me in. It begs my mind to drift, to ponder, to realize that this is only a small moment. There is warmth, there is kindness, and there is joy surrounding life. All I need to do is let my view expand to see the beautiful picture...but until this small moment is over, I let the flowing tide of calm sweep the terror from my mind, and let my weary eyes rest in this haven Hammock has created.

"We look toward each other no longer From the old distance of our names; Now you dwell inside the rhythm of breath, As close to us as we are to ourselves. Though we cannot see you with outward eyes, We know our soul’s gaze is upon your face, Smiling back at us from within everything To which we bring our best refinement. Let us not look for you only in memory, Where we would grow lonely without you. You would want us to find you in presence, Beside us when beauty brightens, When kindness glows And music echoes eternal tones. When orchids brighten the earth, Darkest winter has turned to spring; May this dark grief flower with hope In every heart that loves you. May you continue to inspire us: To enter each day with a generous heart. To serve the call of courage and love Until we see your beautiful face again In that land where there is no more separation, Where all tears will be wiped from our mind, And where we will never lose you again.” -John O'Donohue
